This ‘female’ identity Graham is attributing to an entity apart from his psyche is close tot eh anima characters Jung defined as part of the collective unconscious. Without any drugs, while going through Jungian analysis I met some of these female identities, like the four-eyed anima. Graham is just into mysticism where he can connect it to rebellious use of mind altering drugs. I lost most of what respect I had for him a few years ago.
When the youngish wife died in her sleep years ago, he soon found this other wife and moved away and was only doing short wave.
I think he missed the business but don’t know if they are separated, divorced or together either.
He so if I remember was raped by someone with aids and his son was infected.
He has lots to wrap his brain around in this life.
I think Art’s manner of delivery is what has made him popular for so long. It’s like hanging out with a buddy, and I couldn’t begin to count the hours I spent hanging out with him. Even called in to his show a few times back in the ‘90s.
The conversation with Graham has gone south for me the past few minutes. Don’t care a thing about drugs.
Right! I remember him explaining that, now. I think I was occupied with something or other when he talked about how the new studio came to be.
Thanks.
Son was raped...
A Brit.
His new love is ayahuasca, also called yagé. A psychedelic plant from South America.
Just what we need, a replay of the Sixties with all of the damaged lives courtesy of psychedelics. I knew a lot of them and too many died very young.
That's pretty good for last night. I am just so glad he's back. :D Love this bumper music! Isn't that the same voiceover guy from the old days "Wanna take a ride?"
Yep, that's the show. Eric Harley and Gary Macnamara are better than a lot of daytime politically oriented talk shows, in my opinion.
Must have just dumped the last one.
Airyn Ruiz, April 11, 2006 present. Children: Asia Rayne Bell
Forgot his name and now I know where he landed! LOL ... Used to hear him mentioning the numbers to call when Noory was doing C2C but he doesn’t do that anymore. LOL
His first caller commented that she loved his wife and kid, and Art thanked her. There's a pic of Art and his little girl up on his site, as well.
I'm not such a huge fan that I keep up with his personal life, but I haven't seen anything indicating that he's split from his marriage.
Yeah, that's the one thing I disagree with Graham Hancock about. He's a huge proponent of using mind altering substances to achieve spiritual enlightenment, which, in my opinion, is a complete dead end.
” I met some of these female identities, like the four-eyed anima”
So is this like a dream episode? Or imagination? How would you describe it? I found Jung’s ideas appealing, far more so than most other psychology.
When I was a kindergartener I experienced a few lucid dreams, so striking that I remember them nearly 60 years later. Nothing I encountered while fooling around with, ahem, mind altering potions popular in the Sixties came remotely close to these amazing dreams.
Dreams during just normal sleep. usually the psyche fabrications have a message they deliver. In my case a couple of future related messages truned out to be really precise. You keep a diary of your dreams and learn to wake yourself and write down the dream. A side effect is learning to do lucid dreaming. And THAT is sometimes quite a trip.
His first wife died during an asthma attack. He sounded so distraught in the weeks after her death that I thought the poor guy was in danger of committing suicide. His new wife is a Filipina like his first wife.
Yes, I remember that. At the time, I thought it was kind of sad and even spooky, that Art married another Philippina.
Asthma! I didn’t remember correctly.
A different culture raises their girls to have a different perspective on men. Filipino women are apparently raised to be a real partner, supporter for her man regardless of the age of the husband.
My opinion, too, but I'm one who says, "To each his own." At least the rest of the conversation has been interesting. Now to see what the callers come up with.
