OK the time has arrived.

Tonight.

Same here. And I love he has Graham on as his first guest. Been a fan for many years, since the first time I heard him on Art's show in the mid-'90s. I feel like I just took a trip in a time machine. LOL
Ouch. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, you know, walk a mile in another's shoes, but that's just low class, not cool. Noory is old enough to have learned that lesson yet apparently his ego keeps blocking his ability to learn.
George Knapp is the only good host left on C2C these days. Sunday nights, but not every Sunday.
Hancock is good. Catastrophism is something that has interested me for years, I’m always interested in hearing a new take on it.
Yep. I had read several years back that Noory was initially successful in keeping Coast to Coast AM going, but that he slowly began to shed listeners and stations. When our local blowtorch cut him loose, I knew things must be sliding downhill badly for the show. Dallas ain't exactly Podunk.
I think it was to be expected. Noory didn't create Coast to Coast AM - Art did, and no one can do that show the way he can.
SMN?
“Don’t Fear The Reaper” !! My favorite bumper song!
“He admitted to being a bit stymied by all the new gear in his studio”
Probably a throw away line from Art. He designed and built the studio himself at his house. He’s posted pictures of it at BellGab and it looks remarkably simple.
The only problems he’s run into in his shakedown tests have been weather related when the monsoon went through Pahrump this weekend.
In the next ten years a theory about the growing energy in the zero point field will change the calculus on human origins and consciousness ... IF God does not halt the current deterioration of humanity.
That DFW affiliate has quite a reach, I could hear it right on the Canadian border in northeast Montana. Before internet streaming become popular, I relied on AM night time skip to hear such programs as C2C. Either WBAP out of DFW or KFAB out of Omaha were two stations I could hear Art Bell quite well at night.
Probably a throw away line from Art. He designed and built the studio himself at his house.
He did design and build his old studio, but Art said earlier tonight that the present studio is brand new and filled with every state-of-the-art piece of equipment imaginable - much of it new and unfamiliar to him.
He also mentioned who built it, but I didn't quite catch that bit.
So he is no longer with his wife’s family in the Philippines?
Whats new with Mel’s hole?
He’s certainly militantly secular and makes that known. And even though he’s not lighting up anymore he has the classic doper’s religious zeal for defending the ‘honor’ of marijuana. Amusing.
A libertarian?
He mentioned Telos was the one who put the phones in and provided much of the equipment he’s using in his new studio. Someone mentioned to Art to talk to Telos, so he did, and found out that the CEO lives in Vegas and the CEO told his crew to put the best stuff in for Art’s studio. Art mentioned that the CEO of Telos is also a ham radio operator like he is. So they became fast friends.
Coast to Coast AM was last carried by 570AM KLIF in Dallas - Ft Worth. That was three or four years ago. Maybe even longer.
It wouldn't surprise me that WBAP carried the show when Art ran it. Most of the shows they carry are first-rate.
The builder is one of his old friends. Art had to let others do the heavy lifting due to his back.
Well said and Graham is a great first guest.
Art is a master at delivering content in a familiar, comfy way as if he were a friend sharing some interesting news or a cool story. It's a gift which I think Art must have had since he first began in radio.
He never forgets his listeners.
I recall WBAP carried C2C in the earlier year. Now they have some overnight talk show (Red Eye Radio?). One of the two talk stations here in Rapid City, SD carries that. The other station has C2C.
Sounds like he's moved back to Pahrump, NV. I imagine his wife and kid are with him. Don't know a thing about the wife's family.
