Rove Super Pac in Talks With Walker

Many have theorized on here that Rove was working to undermine Walker. As it turns out, his Super Pac is in talks with Walkers campaign.
This is from the article in the NY Times.
2013. A fund-raising advisory group formed by Crossroads after Mr. Barbours departure failed to accomplish much.
More recently, Carl Forti, the longtime Crossroads political director who simultaneously worked on the pro-Romney super PAC Restore our Future, in 2012, is said by four people with direct knowledge of the discussions to have been in talks with at least one 2016 campaign that of Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin, who is not yet an official candidate. Mr. Forti did not respond to an email seeking comment.
A history of personal tensions between Mr. Rove and Jeb Bush could further undercut the groups role in the presidential race, should Mr. Bush emerge as his partys nominee.

I judge a politician by whether he/she has the right friends/enemies.
Scott has the wrong friends.

I’ve had my own theory for some time, as have other Freepers. We think Walker is the default to Jeb.

1000 ping. Sucks to be right. Again.
Some people just HAVE to learn the hard way.
To: conservativejoy
what does that make Rubio?
To: conservativejoy
I suspect he is helping Walker to split votes which would have gone to Cruz so his boy Jeb can squek by.

Rove plan: steer Walker to be Jeb VP.

I think Rubio and Walker have both gotten the inside nod to be on the ticket together. I find it hard to believe that Rubio gave up his Senate seat without some assurances.

Good job!!! :^)
Cruz is the only guy in the race worth voting for. The Republican field is already got what, 18 declared candidates? To the Democrats' eight?
We REALLY need another one in there, backed by Rove ... like we need a hole in the head.

Good. Perhaps this time the RINO vote will be split and a real conservative like Cruz will get the nod!

Walker is best buddies with Reince Priebus, so I'm sure that Walker has GOPe leanings.

It is hard to understand the conviction of those who posted on this thread concerning another
New York Times article aimed to divide the Republican Party. As far as I could discern this is the charge:
Carl Forti, the longtime Crossroads political director who simultaneously worked on the pro-Romney super PAC Restore our Future, in 2012, is said by four people with direct knowledge of the discussions to have been in talks with at least one 2016 campaign that of Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin, who is not yet an official candidate.
It appears that someone, unknown to us and evidently not candidate Walker himself, is in "talks" with one of Karl Rove's scoundrels. There is no allegation that this individual engaged in "talks" with the approval of Walker. There is nothing that tells us what they talked about.
Walker's record deserves some respect and he has earned the right to have conclusions held in abeyance until there is at least some facts that he is actually sleeping with the enemy
