Carl Forti, the longtime Crossroads political director who simultaneously worked on the pro-Romney super PAC Restore our Future, in 2012, is said by four people with direct knowledge of the discussions to have been in talks with at least one 2016 campaign that of Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin, who is not yet an official candidate.
It appears that someone, unknown to us and evidently not candidate Walker himself, is in "talks" with one of Karl Rove's scoundrels. There is no allegation that this individual engaged in "talks" with the approval of Walker. There is nothing that tells us what they talked about.
Walker's record deserves some respect and he has earned the right to have conclusions held in abeyance until there is at least some facts that he is actually sleeping with the enemy

No the knee jerk reaction to not my first choice in politician worship elevated to savior status must reign supreme
I believe the US Chamber of Commerce, they of illegal invader fame, was hid FIRST port of call in his funding and support search. Or close to the first.
Now if that isn’t being in bed with the enemy, considering their stance vs his ...ahem...claimed stance (for the moment) on immigration issues, I don’t know what would qualify.
A man cannot be serving two masters and for a pol, money talks.
He did hire and then fire an amnesty shill/PR person once the story got out.
He is friends with Reince Preibus and Paul Ryan. Both amnesty guys.
He was for amnesty himself unitl very recently.
It's actually quite easy to me. They hate the Republican establishment more than they love their country.
/bingo
Other candidates have dark, dark, dark tendencies with secret connections to the GOPe, complete with decoder ring and encrypted messaging.
See, most of these jokers are fairly insecure and it is not good enough to support their own candidate, but they have to bash, malign and generally hate on other candidates. You really would think Walker is the head of a group that goes around killing and maiming conservatives and babies under 6 months old.
Just last week, Cruz supporters got the vapors when he supported the free trade bill and proceeded to prescribe the worst intentions and blasphemies to Cruz, their now former candidate. I wonder who they are going to support now since Cruz was supposed to be The Answer To Everything.
This used to be a great site - lots of thoughtful people and posts, but many of those people have left due to the numerous haters on this site.
In any other universe, Walker would be lauded and would be a party hero (he is, but you would never know it on this site.) I think it is possible to support Cruz and also acknowledge the incredible accomplishments Walker has done for Wisconsin. He has shown how a leader walks and talks. I think Cruz will make an incredible leader, too.
Just be prepared that if you venture into a Walker thread be prepared for Cruz supporters to accuse him of the most vile things - it's a reflection of how society is at the moment.
Well said.
