Norwegian store forced to apologise for stocking realistic human limbs in its frozen meat section as part of a Halloween joke
A Norwegian shop has been forced to apologise to children and their families after it packed realistic looking severed plastic hands and feet in butchers' plastic trays and sold them as part of its Halloween collection.
Furious parents were horrified when they discovered the severed limbs in the meat freezers which terrified children looking for Halloween costumes and decorations.
Europris, which has stores across Norway, has now been forced to withdraw the range of fake, shrink-wrapped body parts.

I vote not funny.
Purina Moose Chow.
Hey, it’s Halloween. If I were a customer in this store, I’d order a “leg of Sam” for dinner.
The staff would get the joke. Not sure about the other low-educated shoppers.
Gee, lighten up people. You’ve got nothing else to do in this world of any importance except catch sardines and put them in little cans with a smelly oil of some kind.

Kids should be scared on Halloween.
Followed by anger.
Holy lutefisk, Batman! Why were kids shopping for Halloween costumes in a meat freezer?
I could be having a comprehension deficit moment, but why were these "furious parents" taking their "terrified children" to a FROZEN MEAT DEPARTMENT to look for Halloween costumes and decorations? I never considered a frozen meat to be either a costume or decoration.
The only parents who weren’t horrified and children not terrified were the Muzzy ones.
I’m surprised none of them asked for an infidel’s decapitated head.
stay on topic.
Aw, come on. The Norwegians are descendants of Vikings and they’re raising a wussified generation to be afraid of a fake hand or foot? Give me a break.
Helicopter parents are uncool.
Yes, mother.
Uff da! Hey ............... look! Squirrel parts!
Aaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!
” “furious parents” taking their “terrified children” to a FROZEN MEAT DEPARTMENT to look for Halloween costumes and decorations?

I have never seen a market where the meat counters were in a separate room. The meat counters are no different then the vegetable/fruit counters, except for refrigeration. It is quite normal and logical that kids with mommie are going to pass the meat department, and see what is in the low counters/bins.
The whole story is a bit overblown, but I can see how some people/children might be a bit put off.
Employes in costumes, or funny posters would be more appropriate.
