To make a long story short.... as a child, my brother saw a demon outside our window (back then you had to have the tv by a window because of heat generated). He saw this demon "dancing" around our window. He has been plagued w/ nothing but horror.
Now, in these days, he has over come his demons; however, his first born son has seen this demon, a few months ago, outside his window. His first born son described to him ( at first reluctant that he would not be believed) the same thing my brother saw as a child. My brother was stunned.
We need help. I truly believe in satan and his demons to be as real as we are. What can we do? Who do we turn to?
Some may see this as nonsense, but we are living this in real life. Can anyone help us or at least lead us to someone who can help?
Please understand that people from all backgrounds (religous and non-religous) see this stuff as superstitions. And the Bible warns against following such silliness.
Seeing a demon is not necessarily a “medical” problem. They are real.
I suspect that your family has a history of being quite preoccupied with “evil spirits” and “demons”, thereby inviting all these “appearances”. Nine times out of ten one will find that it is emotion-driven women in particular who are projecting their inordinate “fears” into the children.
Of course there are plenty of religion grifters out there to play to this “market”. Do a google search for some of their “activities” and you’ll find out who these nutcases are. (Look for things like as “demon-sweeping”, “evil spirit perimeter walks”, and on and on and on.)
My advice? Stay away from those who are “preoccupied” with the “spirit world”. As you can see, they will get what they are asking for.
When I was about 12 yrs old I attended a prayer session in a private home. There were over 30 churchmembers there praying for a young girl who was only a couple years older than I. During the session I saw three balls of light come out of her body and escape through the windows. I believe those were demons.
I am 58 yrs old now and the memory still makes me shake.
Go to your minister (or priest) and share your concerns.
God Bless
No one can do much until you see it and even then you need to do some scientific investigation. There are too many variables standing between what was seen: Did your brother tell the story and the child imagined it? Is there a trick of the light that occurs under certain circumstances?
You should eliminate the mundane before leaping to supernatural conclusions.
Does butter make the taste a bit bitter? ; )
Be VERY careful before attempting to remove the demon on your own. Please read Acts 15:13-16
Good advice from elpinta (John 17:3
Get a Bible, hold it, pray to find The Truth in it.
Open it, start reading.
Pray to find someone that can help you further.
It will work, that is all I can say.
Oh come on!
For crying out loud, don't overestimate our mental capabilities in general.
How long had your family lived in the house before the entity began to manifest itself?
Mat 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Mat 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Sounds like reasonable advice. I would want to cover all of my bases and deal with it on both the scientific and spiritual battlefronts. Prayers for your brother and nephew.
It could be just democrats doing a little fund raising.
If I put on my conspiracy shroud, this seems like just the kind of post [bait] a FR lurker would leave to see what kind of responses they get.
“Be VERY careful before attempting to remove the demon on your own.”
Yup, that is why I said:
“Pray to find someone that can help you further.”
Up to 48 replies and the typical Free Republic mishmash. Some good advice interspersed with way too much foolishness.
My advice is to seek the assistance of a Catholic or Orthodox priest. Those communions have been about this business for 2000 years.
You will be in my prayers, as well.
Praying now
The Bible is full of accounts of demons, and they were quite real, but somehow you have managed to overlook this. Jesus took them seriously and maybe you should, too. Satan likes nothing better than somebody who thinks he doesn’t exist.
Btw, you never had to keep a tv by the window so the heat could escape.
