Yes, the Pentagon is a very large building. The size mind boggling. The World Trade Center was large vertically. It is unbelievable that +100,000 people could of been killed on 9/11. World Trade Center on a given day likely has in the neighbor of 100,000 people, workers, commuters, shoppers, and tourists. The Pentagon has 26,000 people, mostly workers, contractors, and tourists. Capitol Hill has politicians, workers, and tourists that likely number +10,000. In some ways, they did fail because they did not achieve killing +100,000 people.
I have heard the Islamists planned to attack other cities outside of New York, Washington, and Arlington, and even outside of America, including Europe.

If the so-called "Islamic Center" is built on private property without taxpayer subsidy, they are free to build it wherever they choose and as far as I'm concerned it is none of the government's business. But we as citizens are free to question the judgment and motives of the developers of this project, and we should ...and I do. Furthermore, we are free to use any peaceful and legal means at our disposal to express our disapproval and openly question the appropriateness of this project and we should and will do exactly that. It is incumbent on the local folks, especially those most affected by the Sept. 11 2001 attack, to be be there and exercise their civil rights in any way they can to oppose and impede this project until the prospect of continuing becomes unattractive.
An accommodation made at the Pentagon years before the 9-11 attack is irrelevant to the issue here.
Oh by the way...

There is a HUGE distinction between muslims *praying* in an ecumenical chapel in the Pentagon vs. *constructing a 13 story muslim-only mosque named Cordoba* at the site of a visibly successful terrorist attack.
The distinction is between praying and constructing. This is what makes is a false argument.
And if you didn't understand the false comparison in the premise of this marxist propaganda then you deserve the derision you're getting on this forum.
You'd be best served, however, to respond and take your lumps if you'd like to last around here. We're pretty serious about the veracity of charges and the true implications of articles.

“But the Pentagon was hit on 9/11. Its a Ground Zero in its own right.”
Absolutely correct and I agree with you.
As far back as I can remember the nickname for the open courtyard in the middle of the Pentagon was always referred to as “Ground Zero.”
The nickname for it finally came true.
Welcome to the nastiness here on FR.

And why?
