A new dinosaur found in South Africa has given scientists a glimpse into the evolution of sauropods, the biggest animals ever to have walked the Earth, a new study says. The newfound, 20-foot-long (7-meter-long) dinosaur species is a close cousin to the common ancestor of all sauropods -- gigantic, four-legged, long-necked, big-bellied plant-eaters. Dubbed Aardonyx celestae, the 195-million-year-old dinosaur had a lot of sauropod-like features, such as a robust skeleton for holding up its heft. (See extreme dinosaur pictures.) Unlike sauropods, though, the newfound species walked on two legs and only dropped down on all fours, the new research shows. This means that walking on all fours started earlier in sauropod ancestors than previously thought, researchers say.

So it would have fit on the Ark ;-)
Some hypothesize that dinos went extinct because they didn’t go on the ark.
Others hypothesize they rapidly went extinct after the flood, due to a drastic change in earth’s weather systems.
Oh? a new dinosaur? I thought it was called:
Algoralis fraudnumbrensis of the family Tempsainthotenough
I suspect it was because they tasted better than chicken.
Young, immature dinosaurs were most likely the ones that were on the Ark.
Makes a great family pet!
why not just the eggs?
It amazes me to see how much, over time, the earth and it’s creatures have changed, yet that pimple Gore would like us to believe that he can change the weather.
I’m not going to push the abuse button but that is pretty offensive.
I thought the Giants got that way because of their porous offensive line.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Others hypothesize they rapidly went extinct after the flood, due to a drastic change in earths weather systems.
Or because there was a large drop in the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere.
Or because there was a slight increase in gravity - making them unable to support their body weight. (Gavity on Earth has recently been decreasing - just a smidge).
Dinosaurs didn't go extinct. Most people in this country will sit down to a hearty meal featuring a dinosaur descendant today.....
If they weren't on the Ark then wouldn't having to tread water for a year have killed them off long before any drastic change in the earth's weather system?
:’D Eli’s comin’. ;’) His escape from that certain sack in the Super Bowl is pretty much my favorite Super Bowl moment. :’)
;’) Have a great Thanksgiving.
“If they weren’t on the Ark then wouldn’t having to tread water for a year have killed them off long before any drastic change in the earth’s weather system?”
Yes, of course. I was just thinking, if they were put on the ark in their eggs or as very young, and survived the flood, they may have not been able to survive the drastic change in climate.
