Nice to see research here has been fruitful. Too bad Obama is hard at work killing the tree.

Amazing! For someone who has a cord injury any amount of increased function would be welcomed. I would hope that even in the experimental stages it would be available to volunteers.

Think of it this way:
as fast as computers are advancing, medical discoveries/techniques are advancing faster...
I would bet that in 20 years, they will know enough to make you immortal.
And I would win that bet - but probably not live long enough to collect!

Yeah, I can see the headline...Single Cheap Pill Confers Immortality....right above my obituary. I think I got the spelling right... immorality...immortality.

I think it will end this way - in order for them to save you, they will have to kill you - so to speak.
Older, more drudged up cells in your body will have a marker attached and then be dispatched. New, younger cells, possibly from your own stem cells, will be utilized to replace them.
They already have a deal where people with like bladder cander can get totally new, fresh young bladders grown, using extracellular matrix material and some of the persons own bladder cells.
It’s very promising - and totally fascinating!

And I would win that bet - but probably not live long enough to collect! I'd side bet that it would be readily available to our "betters"
And totally unavailable -at any price- to us.
Just think, 0bama could be president forever!

Hmmm.
No embryonic stem cells, just marrow cells?
Does Michael J. Fox, Charles Krauthammer, or any of the left-wing cranks have any comment?
(Would Christopher Reeve have walked (or flown) again?)
Cheers!
