In a quest that is seen as wacky, way out there and as bitter partisan politics by some,the issue of Obama not showing his birth certificate to prove he is a naturalized American citizen continues. Is this really just some conspiracy theory along the lines of 9/11 truthers and alien cover ups? At first glance it seems like it. But surprisingly many American’s seem to actually believe there is some possibility of truth in this claim that Obama is not a citizen. WND continues to run stories on it but most recently a congressman’s town hall meeting became overwhelmed with the issue.
Many people will immediately jump up and say “Obama produced a birth certificate, what more do you want?” Apparently Obama provided a certificate of live birth (COLB) which is not the same as a long form birth certificate. The long form birth certificate should provide evidence that can be corroborated. The COLB provided on factcheck.org does not show a hospital, doctor’s name or anything else that can be checked, just a time and city. This COLB can also be obtained by non citizens.
Obama could easily release his long form birth certificate but hasn’t. Just to stop people from talking about it and to show that he has the most transparent administration, you think he would.
Many liberals, moderates and even some conservatives will probably read this and just say “get over it already.” There is a time to let things go and personally I already have. Not because I don’t think it’s important but because I think Obama will never release this information and even if it is true that he is not a natural citizen, that nothing will change. But should people just get over this? If it is true, it is the biggest scam in history. People never got over Bush’s decision to go to war with Iraq, should everyone just forget about this issue?
The argument could easily be made that if Obama does not qualify to be president than all of the bills he signed and executive orders he issued would have to be undone. This is very important but would cause huge upheaval. I don’t know if the American people would be able to handle this kind of event and the ramifications of the loss in trust of the government. It doesn’t mean the truth shouldn’t be fully investigated though but I sincerely doubt it ever will be

Yeah, actually, the way it stands right now, it’s legal for him to keep it to himself. Or, again, to put it another way, there is nothing that legally compels him to show his birth certificate in this matter.
It doesn’t supersede the Constitution, because the Constitution doesn’t specify that he must show his birth certificate. It just says that he must be qualified (per the stated requirements). There’s nothing to supersede, since he’s already signed legal paperwork saying he’s qualified.
And you know that when the Constitution was written, there couldn’t have been any requirements (in the Constitution) to show birth certificates, because you wouldn’t necessarily even have one to show...
All it could say is that the requirements be met. And also, you need to keep in mind that if none of the other candidates in the past showed a birth certificate (although some have volunteered to show them), then there was obviously no requirement to do so...
Show me where in the Constitution it says that a candidate must prove his citizenship and who he must prove it to.
Now, you are arguing just for the sake of arguing.
What takes him out of the ball game is the “natural born citizen.” He has loyalties to the US as well as Britain/Kenya.
There will be those who will claim the SCOTUS hasn’t made a determination on “natural born citizen” and whine that good ol’ Chester got by with it so Hussein should get a pass as well. Through the decades, long before Birthers, the accepted definition of “natural born citizen” that took it a step further than “native born” was that both parents be US citizens.
Please name them.
Obama DID NOT present a birth certificate! He presented a COLB which a non citizen can get. His COLB does not state where he was born or whom the doctor was. Why is Obama spending so much in legal fees to keep his birth certificate hidden. That speaks for itself.

Exactly. The transcript that the birthers produce is not complete. As I recall, immediately after grandma alleged says she was there, which is the point where the usual quotes end, the guy asks if that's what she's really saying, and she immediately contradicts, saying "No, I was here, he was in Hawaii. What are you talking about?" I think it's all on Youtube.
Name one more productive battle than one for the Constitution of the United States.

No you are mistaken. Check the exact wording of the question. Your liberal pals claimed to have made a “phone call” to Illinois Bar. The reason for the question involves checking backgrounds for criminal records and verifying other information, not whether they practiced law under another name.
Check other states for the same question. Go back to DU school, you are flunking.
