Saw an article on Readers' Digest a month or so ago, were they mentioned vinegar's acetic acid interfering with the mechanism by which glucose enters the bloodstream from the digestive system. If anyone has more info on this, please share!

Alcohol is a solvent therefore drinking copious amounts of vodka gimlets or your favorite adult beverage should clean out your arteries ...

You’ll eat less cake if you pour a bottle of vinegar into the mix...

But yes, vinegar does have some healthy properties.

Olives too. Very big with Mediterranean village cultures.

Some vinegars have sugar in them...although I love the golden balsamic. My kids always drink some vinegar by the spoonfuls.

I have been taking a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with 8 ounces of water each evening, and my heartburn/acid reflux has been near non existent. I bet the makers of Nexxum, Prilosec, Pepcid and those other acid blockers that sell for $120 for a month’s supply aren’t too happy.

Google Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar. I seem to remember their website sheds some light on the medicinal benefits of vinegar. A gallon of the stuff lasts a pretty good while.

Vinegar foot-soak — read on the web that it works for toenail fungus. It did for my wife. It arrests the fungus while the nail grows out.

Interesting, but a high-fat diet also has a reducing effect on blood sugar so its hard to say if it was the acid or the fat that helped.

Anyone who’s done the Atkins diet has seen the same result.

They don’t specify what type of vinegar to use. White vinegar or apple cider vinegar?

Urine has been used this way, too.

The genes churn out proteins involved in breaking down fats, thus suppressing body fat accumulation in the body.

The only way this would work would be for the fat to be excreted from the body, which isn't possible, or for the mitochondria to enter a futile cycle in which oxidation is decoupled from phosphorylation, producing mainly water and heat.

A friend of mine’s father has been drinking a glass of apple cider vinegar a day for years, and has never had high cholesterol. He swears by it.
