Actually I didn't think Stern exuded much confidence about being the father because he probably has his doubts as well.

From start to finish --- the marriage to the old man --- the lawsuit --- ad nauseum --- the kid would only solidify the lawyer's claim to be part of the deal beyond his fee ---

The Marshall-Smith marriage was a business arrangement in which one party happened to love the other, and the other was fond of:

[a] being well taken care of while the one was alive; and,

[b] the prospects for being set up for life with a portion of the old man's wealth after he was dead.

Nothing illegal about that -- as long as fraud was not involved.

So far (and admittedly I haven't bulldogged this case like Greta on Natalee Holloway), I haven't seen any evidence of fraud, which is why I'm still in Anna Nicole's corner as regards her marriage.

She's pretty skanky now, yeah.

My position on the Marshall Smith marriage is that his family would have done all in their power to have him declared mentally incompetent or something like that in order to invalidate the marriage. As long as the marriage was legal [no indication that it was not] ... well ... who is to sit in judgment of any relationship/marriage between "consenting adults" ... ? Chacun a son gout ... each to his own taste ... to each his own ... and all that.

Yeah, she is pretty skanky now ... I have to admit that ... but if that old man died with a smile on his face, regardless of what it cost him financially ... well, it was his money ...

Why is it mean to care about the baby girl, and how she will turn out? I'm glad her son was a straight A student and a decent kid, but if you were ever able to stomach her reality show for even a few minutes, it would have become abundantly clear that it was in SPITE of her, not BECAUSE of her.

IT WAS A TV SHOW...TV...probably 20 hours over a period of a year or so. She brought this boy up, by herself, for 20 years. YES, he was who he was BECAUSE of her.

Oct 2: Anna Nicole Smith's former boyfriend Larry Birkhead says he is the father of her new daughter. Birkhead tells MSNBC's Rita Cosby he has filed suit against Anna Nicole and wants a DNA test.

Just saw something about this on a TV tab show - Birkhead claims Anna Nicole went through detox in April 2006, while preggers with Dannie Lynn and he's afraid the baby might have drugs in her system (the show said baby might be "addicted" but since I'm being skeptical, I won't say it that way).

They claimed Anna Nicole was on methadone, among other things. Marcia Clark did the commentary on all this and said "let's see." Like she said, there are numerous possibilities about why Birkhead might be saying these things.

She did say that once the paternity of the baby is established, then some of these court filings can be made public - to see what's true and what's not among all these different allegations.

LOL, they have these two flaming guys who are Anna's "best friends" in the Bahamas who keep coming on to comment on how nothing Birkhead says is true and the baby is happy and healthy and everyone loves each other, including Howard K. Stern. Cozy!
