Now, for some fun questions to kick off tonights thread!
1. Have you been on a date with someone you met on the Internet?
2. Did the date go well? Did a relationship result?
3. Did you meet them on a dating site or elsewhere? Was it totally by accident or chance?
4. Do you have a funny, gross, scary, or otherwise entertaining internet dating story to share? Either one that happened to you, or someone you know.
5. Any funny or interesting meeting the parents stories?
6. Has meeting the parents ever caused a breakup?
7. And, finally, have you ever set up a backup scenario to get out of a potentially bad date?
I'm watching the World Cup match from before that I missed while I wasn't home, and thinking about what to do tomorrow.
I think I'll go buy some miscellaneous items.
Other than that, no plans here.
What's new?
Nothing here (yet) either but that's the good thing about summer, you make it up as you go along.
DId someone say TiVo?!?!?
My TiVo is about to die...
Better get it fixed, then.
I've been using mine a lot since I'm usually not home during the day, but I don't watch that much anyway.
Nothing much, I guess.
Sometimes "nothing" is the best thing to do.
Same here. Not a heck of a lot. Several tornados went through earlier this afternoon--fortunately here, they were in the next county north of us.
Probably will be switching back to my Linux system and pack the Mac--finally picked up the OS I needed and installed it.
800MB image--so I'm going to compress it to death and store it on my jumpdrive...8^)
A tornado touched down in the town next to us a few months ago and we didn't even know it.
I went to the TiVo forums to get a diagnosis. Looks like it has "stuttering" sickness which means the HD is about to go. :( I discovered I can plop a bigger badder new HD right into my old machine (for a price).
WHAT?!
Found out on the news later that day.
Just research for my project. This stuff is rather tedious!
That usually doesn't happen around here--though the city of Hartford was hit--and unfortunately they only had one minute warning.
Luckily, there was only one injury--someone broke their hip on the way down to their basement.
Man, that would be hard to get used to.
Mine is running on NTFS but I still thought if the tree was too long it will topple over not the length of file name but total length of tree.
As I said it only recently happened so I am wondering what I have done that would cause it to happen.
Hmmm...interesting.
Does the entire computer freeze, or can you Ctrl-Alt-Del--if you can get the Windows Task Manager up--it might just be that explorer locking up.
My situation was based on memory, and I had to break the pictures up over several different folders--and then access them one at a time.
Other than that, the only other thing I can recommend is to write up what's going on--such that I can call over the other TechSupport guys...
Night all see you all soon
