Phil, we find it a bit troubling that you don't care about harassment of women (and men) on the job, "stuff that doesn't really matter", as you put it.I'm just saying that filing a lawsuit for this particular case is unnecessary.
The reason I say that is because Max and I have been FReepmailing about this for the past few weeks. She's been telling me all about her job problems. I think "harrassment" is a word being misused. Am I wrong? Did anything at the job take place that was worth suing them over, or is it just me?
Once you've spent some quality time going and jumping off a cliff, feel to not drop in.
Okay, let me break it down for you. Here, I'm paraphrasing your statement of After you've spent some quality time in the real corporate world and can contribute some useful advice based on years of experience, feel free to drop in.
Once you've spent some quality time going and jumping off a cliff=You're getting on my nerves. Go jump off a cliff.
feel to not drop in.=Leave me alone.

Calgary is a great town. Spent a bit of time playing around Canmore, but its been a while unfortunately.
Fred Eaglesmith is country, but kind of folkish. He writes some really good stuff, some is funny too.
I'm a huge Stan Rogers (Maritime) fan. You can find some of his stuff online. You might have heard 'The Idiot', being here in AB. Rollin Down to Old Maui is a favorite. He is a Canadian folk icon. His brother Garnet, and his son Nathan are both good too.
John Wort Hannam is more folk & fairly new. I saw him first last summer at Folk Fest. He is from Fort MacLeod though originally from Scotland. You can stream some of his songs from his site, Pier 21 is quite good.
If you're going to be around in Aug, you should go to Folk Fest. Its really good.

You're welcome. What kind of music do you like? I got a few on my C program, hehe.

I dont recall the boxes. I have the early tapes, must see them again & watch. As I am ADDH & a big picture/rather than detail person, these things are often lost on me.
Ever see the web site: movie mistakes?
I rarely note any.

Is that the Edmonton Folk Fest?
I know Canmore really well. Spent many a day/night traveling there for work when I lived in Calgary (the Town was a client of ours).

I think in this instance, because it was a temp job that I'd only been at for two months, it wasn't worth pursuing. Perhaps if I'd been there a few years and things stayed ugly and HR did nothing to try and resolve the issue, I could possibly have a case. Depends on what happens and how it is all handled and how "damaged" I was from all the harassment, to the point where I could no longer function at work.
To: DollyCali
okay, I am impressed (but not surprised).
Awwww, come on! Give me a bit of credit!! You really think I'd go for a Frenchie?? American gals hands down.
(Besides, they'd probably put in too little effort! LOL)

1. Have you been on a date with someone you met on the Internet? NOPE, but I did meet my wife on a planned blind date...
2. Did the date go well? Did a relationship result? Three kids later, I would have to say something clicked.
3. Did you meet them on a dating site or elsewhere? Was it totally by accident or chance? Old man at work used his daughter to set us up.
4. Do you have a funny, gross, scary, or otherwise entertaining internet dating story to share? Either one that happened to you, or someone you know. Scarry, my Junior prom, total destruction... I don't want to relive telling the details... the sad thing was it was mostly my fault too.
5. Any funny or interesting meeting the parents stories? Ohh, the parents... wife has got most of you beat, dad killed himself, it gets worse, but is private.
6. Has meeting the parents ever caused a breakup? Nope... they don't matter with the right woman...
7. And, finally, have you ever set up a backup scenario to get out of a potentially bad date? Must admit, that must be a woman thing, lets just say if my car broke down, I have a long walk, cause nobody is gonna pick up this big lug unless they know me. I can take care of myself...
Anyhoo, got a sister that is as God fearing as can be, never married, mid 30's. Any good Alabama men out there??? She is a professional and makes/takes care of herself? (and pretty). But you had better know your Bible and know it well, cause she can smell an faker a mile away.

I have a friend locally who met a woman (on the Internet) who is French. They make trips back & forth & are so enthralled.
This has been 2+ years now. Met him at one of the Glenn Beck Rally for America Rallies..
He says she is NOT really the anti Americana variety & does NOT need rescuing from desolation etc..
some Internet mixes work!
Just like here at FR. Many have met & wed via the forum. They found common bonding & learned about each other via threads & posting w/o the pretense that often accompanies Internet "dating sites"..

I won't turn you in to the mods and attempt to have you banned for suggesting that I kill myself.
You got lucky, this time.
