It is the only reason that even approaches a form of logic as to why Pitt Bulls should be banned.
Here in the West dogs are much more than a food source. There is a culture of dogs and humans working together in animal husbandry, transportation, and security.
More to the point though, ask yourself as to why people who do not have the skills to control pittbulls actually want them? It is because our society is experiencing social pressures which make people insecure. When a person lives in fear, there is a disregard for the skills associated with having an animal that can get out of control.
So lets limit freedom and liberty more, lets ban pitt bulls , guns, and shovels. The fresh corpses of those who die when attacked by the forces of fear, crime, and who otherwise woould be free, can be used as sources for organ donations!
And for all the 99.9 % of pittbull owners who DO successfully control their animals, well, we can confiscate their dogs, fatten them up and send export them as Pitt Bull protein. Yummy!
And the great culture of close work between man's best friend, and the associated skills so prevalent in the Americas , can end just like that, as we shift over to a more liberal human approach where no one should have pitt bulls because a few unskilled, fearful, desperate individuals cannot control their animals. Blame the dog, not the owner.
Thtas not the way the Inuit do it. When a dog goes wild the owner is blamed. I wonder why they have evolved that system of responsibility over thousands of years? I guess they just don't like to eat dog.
Ask any one who has trained dogs. The Inuit dogs test their master's authority continuously. If a Mahlemute attacks a human, it doesn't just grab and hang on, it goes for the throat to rip the juglar.
Yet these dogs have not been banned and there is no talk of banning them. There are many more attacks by these Inuit type dogs on humans than pitt bulls make.
The Inuit dogs are fine animals, but they would eat a man when they are hungry. I think they should be banned TOO?
THE MOST DANGEROUS DOG IN THE WORLD:
So much for biodiversity. We could just export all our pittbulls to North Korea. We would make a fortune:
BJ's: Your are sick - literally - if you look at that childs face and minimize her injuries as you have.
Its obvious that you have little exposure to the real world around us, the world of fang and claw, nor do you understand what a serious dog injury looks like, the clamp and hold injusy this little girl had is not live threatening if treated quickly and properly.
Look at this, this was not caused by a pit bull but by a bull mastiff and it was done by a dog that rips to kill rather than clamp and hang. These injuries were fatal, yet Bull Mastiffs are not subject to a ban novement, this is because the owners were responsible, not the dogs. I assure you that there are much worse throat lacerations done by dogs against humans and pitt bull injuries are relatively tame in comparison:
You might ask why the seriousness of the Bull Mastiff attack on Diane Whipple has not resulted in a banning of Bull Mastiffs? Wasn't Diane Whipple beautiful or cute enough for liberal sensibilities in San Francisco?
Every one has a duty to protect themselves and their children. I guess you are not quite prepared to observe that duty for yourself and would want the state to do it for you. Maybe you need a speed dialer and a home right next to a police station.
Tragedy visits every one of us in our lifetimes at least once, some are prepared and others are not.Like many liberal weenies you want the state to do the dirty work of individual , free citizens who value liberty and quite bravely assume the duties of their own protection. I live in a place where bears come down from the mountain and mosey right through my yard. Coyotes pass through as well as deer come right up to our window and look in. Whenever a wild animal gets out of hand, I run quick and call the police?
Yeah right.
I call Benelli in my closet and he pumps up and helps me right away.
Perhaps you need to jump into America further and become one.
Having a dog that can really injure a person or another animal carries a burden of reponsibility and expertise. I admire the INuit for how they discharge that responsibility with dogs which are much more agressive and strong than Pitt Bulls ever will be.
If there is no one on here that does not think you are sick for that comment, the FR is an insane place. Your trulty are sick in your position. Let's end the conversation. It scares me that there are people in this world like you and I really do not want to be that close to you.
I assure you, that girl, her parents, anyone that loves her, and anyone looking at that picture would not excuse away as a "single bite" the trauma that has occured to her face.
Either you are just trying to have some (sick) fun on here and do not believe what you are saying or you are one twisted person. Seriously. You need to seek counseling.
I did not ignore you. I said I was exercising my right to petition our local government to ban pitbulls and other vicious breeds. And, I will add, I have been successful in that for the last four months our city staff has been defining exactly what breeds will be banned within the city limits and also the exact language of the ordinance.
And when that ordinance comes up for a vote, which it will, it will be 5 to 0 in favor of the ban. Most will cheer, a few will bemoan not being allowed to have a pitbull (and other breeds) within the city limits.
What else did you want to know about rights my view of your rights? You have the right to petition your government too. In fact, I dare you to bring it up in the city where you live. Ask you city council to take action to make sure pitbulls are never banned in your city.
Let me know how it comes out.
I asked you if you want to put it to a poll of the FR membership. I'm willing to see if they agree with me or if they agree with you. Are you willing to see how other on FR feel about it? I even gave you the poll question. You did not reply.
Sorry, I do not go away that easily. And instead of only banging out my position on the keyboard, I am actually getting a local ordinance through to ban pitbulls and other breeds known or thought to be vicious.
You really need to lighten up Francis.
No one is attempting to excuse away anything here,
except for you in your attempt to justify draconian government interference
in the lives of law-abiding responsible owners.
And doing it on the back of that poor girl too.
Go change your panties and GROW UP!
No doubt, if you're posting from communist China...
Help Find New Homes for China's Unwanted Dogs
Imagine being told you have ten days to get rid of your dog, simply because its too big.
Banned in their home country of China simply for their size, Collies, Terriers, Australian Shepherds, Dalmatians, Saint Bernards, and even Irish Setters are just some of the dog breeds outlawed in Beijing. Once illegal dogs are seized, they are often abandoned by their owners who simply buy new ones....more
So where are you posting from?
Or is it just a BS story?
And when the Sh!t goes down who you gonna call, ghostbusters? Nope you will call men like me to do your dirty work for you.
Let's end the conversation.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Whats wrong, knowing the truth turn you off? Good luck in your liberal aspirations to devolve Liberty, you will get no help from me.
You need to seek counseling.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I do get counselling, have for years, and how did you guess? My counsellors are the founding fathers and patriots of the United States of America. I can share their phone numebr with you if you like.
would not excuse away as a "single bite" the trauma that has occured to her face.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I am not excusing the injury away, I am showing you that you are fixated on something that could have been much worse. Get over it. The little girl was unfortunate to have been injured, but who was protecting her? What were the circumstances surrounding her injury? Notice how you said nothing about this. And the parents who love her, where were they when she was attacked? DOes the girl have a father in her household, or is she the daughter of a single mom, who thinks she can raise children without a man to protect them? I really do not want to be that close to you.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Ahhhh my heart is so broken, and here I thought we could REALLY get to know each other .
After searching the The city council records of Palos Verdes Estates
back to June 2005 and then double checking the records from this year,
I find no mention of any public hearings, no staff reports, no agenda items and...
no communications from the public regarding any matter involving dogs.
Please explain this contradiction or I will be forced to make an assumption about you.
Sounds like a nice place...
The City of Palos Verdes Estates is often described as an oasis within Los Angeles County. Sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean coupled with abundant naturally preserved open spaces translate into a community where residents find rest and solace from the urban environment beyond City borders. In a region of the country known for its concrete jungle and desert climate, the lush open spaces of Palos Verdes Estates are truly a treasure.Do you have much trouble with dogs attacks?
