Today is Typewriter Day but
I want to celebrate dessert day.
Can you tell that I'm hungry? :)

Chocolate Eclair Cake

INGREDIENTS:
1 box graham cracker cookies
2 packages instant vanilla pudding 3.3 ozs
3 cups of milk
1 8oz container of cool whip
Chocolate icing

DIRECTIONS:
Prepare pudding as directed

Fold in cool whip

Use a 9 by 13 inch casserole dish place graham crackers on the bottom of dish, covering the entire area

Spread portion of pudding mixture over the crackers. Repeat with graham crackers and pudding, ending with graham crackers on top.

Spread chocolate icing over graham crackers, place in refrigerator 24 hours before serving.

The Typevriter


Today, I bought for a mere song a fine typevriter on the second-hand market. One of those good ol', sturdy Undervood machines. Almost as nev and vithout a scratch!

I am really, really proud of it! Indestructible, stable, old-fashion and real. It vas for me a victory to decide finally to start vriting as I dreamed of it for years. I have to do the vriting on a typevriter because all those nev hush-posh computers, that's nothing for me. I vould certainly not be able to learn to use such an expensive, complicated, fragile thing.

So, here I sit, happily vriting along. The only problem is that the "v" of veather does not vork properly. But that's no problem at all, I simply use instead the "v". It is quite a nice machine for such a s¶all price ..oops.. there goes another character (the "n" of nother has been blocked). Vell, I vill use instead the "n" for it. Nobody vill be enbarrassed by that. It is real nice to vork vith such a good peace of equipnen¶.. oops.. anodher characder goes. Vell, I have do dhink vhad I an going do do vidh all dhis....

Id is beconing a real proble¶.. dann, anodher fails. I vonder if dhis is going do vork oud. In dhis nanner, id vill becone really difficuld do sell ny vridings do a good publis¶er.. .. (for keaven sake dke "k" of kodel is also blocked)! God, please kelp ne. I an sdarding do dkink dkad ny acquisidion is nod vkad I expecded fron id.. .. ..

boy good thing it is typewriter day. I will try to go back to Peninsula & take a picture of a "weathered" typewriter that was in the dry stream.. I should have that day.. was going to & something else distracted me.

Why is is a good thing it is typewriter day? because just scroll quickly down/up this thread....yummy, fattening, tempting treasurers... and most of you with will power just smile & say, looks good. I get up & go to the fridge!!! (and NOT for carrot sticks)...

Hope you are all having a great day. Busy yesterday with birthday of friend/relative. He turned 80 & likes to think of himself as a young chap but the years do take their toll.. will perhaps post a pix here later.. or more probably tomorrow for the weekend thread. Haven't slept much the past few days & prolly should catch zzzzss rather than do photo work????
