Good afternoon, OESY.
I feel like we are re-living Morticians Day. :(

Boston Baked Beans For 3 1/2 Qt. Crockpot

4 c White nothern beans
1 ea Ham bone from Honeybaked Ham
1 md Onion, whole
1/2 c Brown sugar -- (plus 3 TB)
1/3 c Molasses
2 ts Dry mustard
3 ts Salt
1/2 ts Pepper
Hot water

1. Soak the beans overnight. In the morning, parboil them for 10 minutes with a teaspoon of baking soda added to the water.
2. OIL SIDES OF CROCKPOT.
3. Rinse beans with cold water and drain. Place onion in the bottom of the crockpot. Add beans and ham bone. Mix remaining ingredients with hot water in an amount to sit 1" below the beans. 4. Avoid excessive stirring during cooking, or the beans will get very sticky.
Happy Bunker Hill Day!

I get the biggest smile on my face when I see one of these new creations in My Comments from you, Amy! Bigger border and everything! Really, really pretty!
I'm glad you ran that poem and graphic again - really do like it a lot. LOVE the poem!

Hi AC. Thanks. I've realized that there's life outside FR, lol. Kidding. It's been a busy couple of weeks, but I enjoyed every minute of it.
How are ya doing?
To: Victoria Delsoul
I'm doing great, thanks! I've had a busy couple of weeks, too -- a wedding last weekend (not mine, LOL), then I had friends from Canada visiting this week.

a wedding last weekend Whew! I almost fainted. Don't you ever get married without telling me first, LOL!
To: Billie
Thanks, Billie. I went back to the bordered background. That isn't really cheating is it? :)
I couldn't find where I had used that poem and graphic for awhile.
It is fun to go back to see what we were doing a year ago.
