If Drudge is right that the Pentagon is planning to dump more abuse photos from Abu Ghraib, there is no use --we should just surrender.
If I had a loved one in harm's way, I'd tell them to desert. We can't win a war this way. Our media and governmanetal elites simply won't let us win this war.
Bush is too weak and the Republicans in Congress are intimidated by the big Beltway Media. The grunt and the Average patriotic American doesn't have anybody fighting for them.
There is no mass movement to defend the honor of the American military and there is no internal movement within the Pentagon or this Administration to say "Enough, we ain't giving the Rats in the media anymore sh*t to weaken us and boost the our enemies. We got a post-modern, post-nam Military brass-- not a pair of balls on any of them. There simply is no push back. The Schumers, the Durbins, the Moores and the MSM are more committed than the Right is.
I understand why recruitment is down-- the damn Generals don't defend the grunts. They keep giving more and more ammo to the Islamisofascists and the Enemies within. Tell me where I'm wrong.
Hey Sirc ~ you know I as much as anyone here support the cause to win the war. It doesn't help, however, for someone who is supposedly on the same side to go into hysterics and run around shouting that the sky is falling all the time. She's starting to sound like the shrieking left...and we all know the shrieking gets louder as their ability to reason continues to decline. Just tired of conservatives piling on with the MSM to bash the U.S., that's all.
Thank you guys for your considering what I had to say.
BTW xonexone, punch me in the head if you want to see what it feels like to have no jaw
LOL
I know what you mean. I don't appreciate relentless negativity myself. I hadn't seen other posts by faithincowboys besides this one. So I don't know more than what I read here.
I hope you guys make up, I don't really disagree with either of you, just think you rubbed eachother the wrong way.
You have more faith in faith than I do, but who knows? I certainly would not be urging my brother or anyone else I care about to desert. And the suggestion, to me, is disgraceful. But hey, that's only my opinion. And we know what those are like! *G*
Judge Alvin Hellerstein was concerned about "protecting the victims' identitiiies" but what about the lives of American Soldiers and Marines and allies, or of the poor bystanders who the easily incited will indiscriminately take because of the frenzy that releasing such purely titillating items such as these will lead to?
Silly Mike. When are you going to learn? Those who are watching the coverage on the cable news channels at home know much more about what's going on in Iraq than those who are or have been here.
All of those positive things I see are just my imagination. Believe me, the armchair generals back home have told me that, and we'd better pay attention to them all.
After all, they know everything. ;-)
You all had already hit the good points when I came upon this lovely combination of arrogance and ignorance.
So I just threw a little sarcasm into the mix. LOL
(Around Post #167.)
Faith you got to stop this whining.....it makes you look foolish.
I think she needs to come over here and whine it to some of the soldiers and Marines.
I'm sure they'd be interested in what she has to say.
Stay safe Allegra....ignore the whiners...we have them covered...:-)
"If I had a loved one in harm's way, I'd tell them to desert."
Well, aren't YOU special little precious.
Nice to know that you are doing your best to bolster the war effort... on behalf of the terrorists.
May Allah shine his malevolence upon you and your house.
You're the only one who isn't wobbly?
Gimme a break, this after your comment that you'd tell relatives to commit dereliction of duty?!
"Why is recuitment down?"
Because of pessimistic and willfully malevolent newsreporting, and people LIKE YOU AND YOUR THREAD>
You really need to stop reading the NY Times.
Thanks for your explanation. It went over my head completely. You response makes excellent points
and great sense.
"It's called hyperbole, but there is a significant point that I was making. "
Now where have we heard that before....?
JohnGalt!
Okay gang, this thread is basically a whiney "We're losing the war" vanity hit piece.
And when slammed for the comment of "If I had a loved one in harm's way, I'd tell them to desert.", they got really nasty with people.
And then came the gem of the 'hyperbole' quote.
Read over the thread, and laugh a little in disbelief as the poster then amazingly turns around and says "I'm on YOUR side!"
