I have read in the past that Thyroid cancer has one of the highest cure rates. Let your doctors guide you physically,
and let your faith in G-d guide you spiritually, and you'll come out of this fine.

I will pray. It is tough. My wife had her thyroid, parathyroids, part of her carotid artery, about 2/3's of her voice box, and 64 lymph nodes in her neck removed last august 16th. It was done by Dr. Eugene Myers at UPMC (University of Pittsburgh Medical Center).
It took almost 5 hours. Any who would care to, my wife could use some prayers too. Good Luck to your friend and thanks.

Speaking as a physician, thyroid cancer is one of the more treatable cancer with great success and remission, if that's any consolation. Nevertheless, prayers are always needed. I pray for guidance every time I step into the hospital or into my clinic office. I shall include our friend tonight, too. There's a patient waiting in the ER for me to see. Looks like no sleep for me tonight.
