"The day my wife got her green card approved by the INS, she took me and Dad to a Chinese all you can eat buffet. A REAL Chinese food place (not American Chinese)."

Chinatown in LA has 2 of the best restaurants in the world. (Reviewed by Chinese). Incidently, in China or Malaysia, you can't buy shrimp without the head on it at the stores.

Spam is a delicacy in Hawaii

Yep, I used to work with a lady from Hawaii (...I miss my Hawaiian friend...) she told me a little of their love of spam and food in general...

Such a cute face. My dad had a pet squirrel when he was young.

Oh, yeah. Some American grocery stores you MIGHT be able to get a live Lobster.

The Chinese stores I've seen here in Big D you would think you have entered an aquarium, they have so much live seafood.

(Imagine that skinned and in a pot of stew).

A pet squirrel? The squirrel lived outside and he would feed it?

They have em here for about 11-12 a pound. Over the years, I have made friends with some fishermen who dock at the Ventura Harbor. I buy hugh shrimp for8- 10 a pound, and scallops for 7. Can't get any fresher than off the boat.

One of the 2 restaurants I mentioned is a seafood Chinese place, and all you see are tanks full of fish.

Nooooo, it's a cute face!

I'm not sure if it lived in a cage or what. He got it when it was a baby and raised it to adulthood and let it go.

In a related story I had a cat who had a pet squirrel. He and the squirrel would chase each other...that is till my husband shot the squirrel and gave it to his dogs. Needless to say we were all sad, especially my cat.

Yep. I watched my cat chase this squirrel into the tree all the time, and thought he could probably catch it if he wanted to. My hubby used to stand in the kitchen and shoot squirrels with a pellet gun from the kitchen window, then throw them in the back yard with his dogs. One day he shot my cat's friend. I told him what he had done, he realized it and seemed a little remorseful, but it was too late by then.

It was squirrel abuse and a lack of consideration for my cat.
