Album Pages
The sky was milky blue, with clouds of perfect white,
I knew that it would gently fade, into a misty night.
A day of quaint perfection, to steep our memories,
Of laughter, hands in hands, and smiling in the breeze.
I always love a perfect day. I gather all I can.
Sometimes I have to bend the rules, to make them fit my plan.
A little bit of rain is not a killer of the day.
And splashing through the puddles is a way to make it play.
Even snow can sometimes be a pleasure to enfold,
Perfection isnt measured by the heat or by the cold.
Its measured by the moments that are strung up just like pearls,
As are the gilded seconds that young men enjoy with girls.
Every days an album page with images to hold.
The sunshine seems much brighter, and the colors much more bold.
We turn the page with sadness til we get a chance to look,
Back upon the memories we cherish in our book.

Well-Known
The Lord knows those who are His. -2 Timothy 2:19
Arctic sea birds called guillemots live on rocky coastal cliffs, where thousands of them come together in small areas. Because of the crowded conditions, the females lay their eggs side by side in a long row. It's incredible that a mother bird can identify the eggs that belong to her. Studies show that even when one is moved some distance away, she finds it and carries it back to its original location.
Our heavenly Father is far more intimately acquainted with each of His children. He is aware of every thought, emotion, and decision we make. From morning till night He gives personal attention to our daily affairs. Overwhelmed by this glorious reality, the psalmist exclaimed in amazement, "Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain it" (Psalm 139:6).
Not only does this evoke our praise, but it should also bring great comfort to our hearts. Jesus told His disciples that the Father knows when a single sparrow falls to the ground. Because people are of so much greater value than the birds, God's children can be assured of His constant care.
How wonderful it is to be such a well-loved, "well-known" person! -Mart De Haan
The Savior knows our deepest need,
He knows our every care;
Our Lord has promised to be near
And all our burdens share. -Anon.
With God, you're never lost in a crowd.

Today there are no official holidays to celebrate, so we will be celebrating "Poetry Day."
Happy Poetry Day!

Tulip Trees
The perfect tree for a distant time, ere Man was in the wood,
It harbored birds and bunnies, squirrels and mice, and all was very good.
And man arrived, with ax and saw, and made the world his own,
The tulip tree, despite its grace, into this brawl was thrown.
"How useful is this tree," he said, and cut into the wood,
"Well make our homes and furniture, and life will be so good."
The tree, of course, did not care which, would eat it or enjoy,
It sought to spread its wings by any means it could employ.
It did not judge the animals, or men who sought its shade,
But sought to dwell in harmony to all within the glade.
This is a lesson we can learn who seek our place on Earth.
Be useful, but progress your way, and show the world your worth.

And if my homage she'd receive,
My wooing and my service true--
The sleepless nights I have been through,
The grief I bear from morn till eve,
Could never take me from her sight;
I'd be a slave unto delight,
All burdens I would gladly bear
And for my heart's grief I'd not care.
