I just had a discussion with SamWolf about this.
He calls the church of today "Church Lite" and it is so true.

I told him and it is my opinion that,
If the Church had not been so quiet all these years about
Gays, abortion, removal of Prayer, etc, etc........

We would not be in the situation we are in today.
The deafening silence of the churches will be our demise.

So, what's the point of "Make Your Point" day?

I guess we are supposed to make our point. ;-)

Black Magic Cake

Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk or sour milk*
1 cup strong black coffee OR 2 teaspoons powdered instant coffee plus 1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans or one 13x9x2-inch baking pan.

2. Stir together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt in large bowl. Add eggs, buttermilk, coffee, oil and vanilla; beat on medium speed of mixer 2 minutes (batter will be thin). Pour batter evenly into prepared pans.

3. Bake 30 to 35 minutes for round pans, 35 to 40 minutes for rectangular pan or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks. Cool completely. Frost as desired. Yields 10 to 12 servings.

* To sour milk: Use 1 tablespoon white vinegar plus milk to equal 1 cup.

Happy Chocolate Cake Day!!

LOL

Is tomorrow "Make Your Point" day? If so, I can think about it tonight. Right now, I have no point to make. :)

Hope you are having a terrific Thursday.

We have had plenty of snow, much more than DC....

Weather is very cold, 7 degrees
Roads are good, I plow my way thru in my van.

Been living in the northeast over 40 years, driving in this for all to long.
I'm ready for spring.

Are you ready to return to the desert?

I guess we were lucky that we didn't get more snow in DC ... I think we had enough to last us for awhile. :)

We did not know what to expect when the weather alerts started talking about lines at the grocery checkouts and a foot of snow. I wondered if we would ever get home. ;~)

She lives in Tucson.
