I decided to change my ways. After a lot of soul searching, I've realized that the GOP does not have my best interests in mind. I can no longer support an administration and a party that cannot look beyond the immediate future and see the long-term consequences of their actions. I've thought about where this administration's policies will leave me and my future family in 30, 40, 50 years....and I do not like the picture. I never thought I would say this, but I'm turning blue. While some of you may call me a jackass, I am now proud to call myself a Democrat.

Sort of reminds me of the people who call in on the Republican line during Washington Journal on C-SPAN, and then start spouting the liberal talking points...or the ones who call in on the Democrat line and say something to the effect of, "I was a registered Republican, but hallelujah, I'VE SEEN THE LIGHT!" The idea is to impress other viewers with the caller's "open-mindedness", or to encourage other viewers to think along those lines and get them to switch sides.

OhioGOP may have been legit and changed his/her mind, but the above scenario may also be true.

Well, I'm a Democrat who voted for Bush who is officially switching over to the Republican party.
