I haven't seen JustFrank but it was his job to clean up after the celebration yesterday. It looks like he's staying out of sight until someone else takes care of it.

Figures! Slacker that he is. LOL!

I took a personal day yesterday to get my car tags and run some other errands. My cat was sick and by the afternoon had a very high temp so I quickly took him to the vet before they closed. His temp was 104.3 according to the vet. They gave him a shot of anti-biotics and something to bring down his fever. He spent the night there so they can check his temp. I called on my break this morning and it is down to 100, which is good. He has not eaten but the vet said that is not unusual since it is a strange environment for him. I missed him last night and this morning. I kept wanting to go pet him, but he wasn't around. I hope he is healed soon. I supposed to bring him home tonite and give him antibiotics at home.

Tao of the Renga *

crystals form like fallen ferns
fond memories flirting in time

gone the green essence of life
fine fronds weaving with the wind

feathery wisps of lace blend
with blue skies and autumn hues

light peers through, distant, haunting
an eery pause to reflect

our spirit seeks elusive truths
silence merely mocks with smiles

we yearn to hear the message
only sorrows pierce the calm:

used to drive a limousine
now I'm wearing Army green



* Renga or "linked verse" is Japanese poetry whereby people take turns adding lines or verses. One types 7 syllables -- not words -- in a line, which is in turn completed by another person.

PAL .... that puppy is precious. A great choice for celebrating Chocolate Day.

We took Louie/Max in for his last puppy shots last week. He weighs 50 pounds. He was 4 months old on the 9th. Vet says he is going to be a big dog. Marissa can no longer lead him around; he outweighs her. :)

I go this morning to get more treatment on the mole they removed on my right temple on August 31. I hope they got it all this time. I'm tried of healing up.

I want to write but work has been very demanding.
