How precious! Thank y'all.

Yeah, what we were doing was to do a resistive ablation of graphite electrodes in low pressure He atmosphere then extract the C
60 from the soot. I got that far - managed to melt a few apparatuses along the way with 200 A currents, but hey.
My plan was to replace or supplement the He atmosphere with Fe(CO)5, which at room temp would have a sufficiently high vapor pressure to support the arc. We expected to get Fe@C60 in addition to Cns in the soot. After extraction, the UV and 13C NMR spectra might show the presence of Fe, but magnetic moment measurements would be conclusive.

hehe! Well, while she finds Chinese easier since it's her native language, she was very happy to learn of this class and was eager to get started. While she has been studying hard to learn new words on her on and with me to help her with new words and help with pronunciation, I think a structured class will really get her going. They are twice a week in the evenings - 2 hour classes. She takes a test tonight so they can establish her entry level. I told them kindergarten or 1st grade, but they said she needs to take the test, lol!

If you print it, hold it up to a light, and read it from the back it is easy.

Every on but the Spanish speakers at least tries to learn English when they come here. It has always been that way until the Spanish speaking invasion.
She'll learn fast.

"...magnetic moment measurements would be conclusive." I would think that some type of mass spectrographic process would be useful, as well. After separating the buckyballs through filtration, or chemically, using the differential weight of caged versus uncaged buckyballs would provide a fine discrimination between the molecules.
If standard mass spectroscopy is too high energy, chromatographic techniques should suffice.
A clear banding should be apparent for "rustyballs" and the spectral analysis would be definitive.

I just used a small mirror from the bathroom.
That's what I meant by reflection, above.

Sounds like a plan to me. What rating is the monostable fratilizer (mf). Make sure that the mf hasn't gone asynchronous.
