Good afternoon, Dubya. Hope you are having a nice day.
:( .... I couldn't get the link to open.
Good Morning Everyone! The shredder has a short so we were unable to finish our shredding last week while business was slow.Mornin'! :^D
The last company I worked at we had TONS of shredding to do. Old QC docs, old/obsolete manufacturing records, accounting records, sales stuff, etc. TONS of it. We had 600 people at my facility at the peak. We had a shredder and it worked OT. Trouble was that it would stack up because shredding the cra* was way down on priority list and we were so busy most of the time. I called a company in ("Shred-It") to look at what we were doing and they gave us a proposal to do all of our shredding for us. They provided LOCKED (secured) containers throughout the plant and came out weekly and kept us cleaned up. They shredded EVERYTHING on site, too, so we could have an observer if we wanted to make sure it all got shredded. It worked out great and folks that had better stuff to do than shred documents were kept busy at company business then. Our management loved it!
Wind
He shouts in the sails of the ships at sea,
He steals the down from the honeybee,
He makes the forest trees rustle and sing,
He twirls my kite till it breaks its string.
Laughing, dancing, sunny wind,
Whistling, howling, rainy wind,
North, South, East and West,
Each is the wind I like the best.
He calls up the fog and hides the hills,
He whirls the wings of the great windmills,
The weathercocks love him and turn to discover
His whereabouts -- but he's gone, the rover!
Laughing, dancing, sunny wind,
Whistling, howling, rainy wind,
North, South, East and West,
Each is the wind I like the best.
The pine trees toss him their cones with glee,
The flowers bend low in courtesy,
Each wave flings up a shower of pearls,
The flag in front of the school unfurls.
Laughing, dancing, sunny wind,
Whistling, howling, rainy wind,
North, South, East and West,
Each is the wind I like the best.

THEY CALL THE WIND MARIA
A-way out here they got a name
for wind and rain and fi -re.
The rain is Tess, the fire is Joe
And they call the wind Ma-ri- a
Ma-ri- a blows the stars a - round,
and send the clouds a - fly - in'.
Ma--ri- a makes the moun- tain sound
like folks up there are dy- in'.
Ma-ri- a
Ma-ri- a
They call the wind Ma-ri- a
Be-fore I knew Ma-ri- a's name
And heard her wail and whin- in'.
I had a girl, and she had me,
And the sun was al- ways shin- in'.
But then one day I lost my girl,
I left her far be- hind me.
And now I'm lost, so gol - durn lost,
Not e- ven' God can find me.
Ma-ri- a
Ma-ri- a
They call the wind Ma-ri- a
Out here they got a name for rain,
For wind and fi- re on- ly.
But when you're lost, and all a- lone,
There ain't no word but "lone- ly".
And I'm a lost and lone- ly man,
With-out a star to guide me.
Ma-ri- a blow my love to me;
I need my girl be- side me.
Ma-ri- a
Ma-ri- a
Ma-ri- a
Blow my love to me!

Good for you ! Yay!I am still in (shock and) awe over our UNUSUALLY mild summer. Here we are at Aug. 23rd now and today's hi is supposed to be around 92. This is usually our hottest month, seeing many days over 100. I'm loving it.
I haven't heard anything to this effect, but I would bet this would be one of our mildest summers ever since records have been kept. I certainly don't recall one this mild. I have spent 40 of my 50 years here in Texas, too.
One thing I wish existed: Hoverbikes.
The rain stopped for a while, but it's still overcast out. I checked the radar loop...and it looks like the stuff that PAL went through is on its way here.
Never heard of such a thing!
The long steep hill from the parking lot to the entrance to my job?
Oh, you mean the rain!
hehehehe ;)
Reflecting on the Past
An old sea captain was sitting on a bench near the wharf when a young man walked up and sat down. The young man had spiked hair and each spike was a different color.... green, red, orange, blue, and yellow.
After a while the young man noticed that the captain was staring at him. "What's the matter old timer, never done anything wild in your life?
The old captain replied, "Got drunk once and married a parrot. I was just wondering if you were my son!"

Help, no Hope, no Help ... is on the way!
A guy is in a sailboat on the ocean when a storm comes up. A powerboat pulls up to him and offers to tow him to safety. He says "I am a devout man, I know that God will save me - you go ahead into shore."
The storm gets a worse. A Coast Guard patrol boat pull up to him and offers to tow him to safety. He says again "I am a devout man, I know that God will save me - you go ahead into shore."
The storm is getting terrible now - waves splash over his little boat. A helicopter comes out hovering over the boat and drops a ladder down to the man. He waves them off, saying again "I am a devout man, I know that God will save me"
The storm rages out of control, the man is swept off the boat and drowns. Being a devout man, he goes up to heaven - where he meets God. He asks of God: "I have worshipped you all my life, yet you did not save me from the storm, why?"
God replies: "What do you mean, I did not save you from the storm? I sent a powerboat to get you, I sent the Coast Guard to get you, I sent helicopters out to save you...."
Doesn't exist, but I wish they did.
LOL!
Oh, that saves me some time from looking for one.
LOL!
True, true.
If one were technically feasible, I'd definately grab one.
(And prolly wrap myself around some object with it stupidly.. LOL!)
Sorry about the bad URL.
