Hey! Who told you I was pro-life?

I guess I could write a poem about it. Let's see, what rhymes with embryo...

Oh. By the way, I'm back from vacation...

Well, I'm keeping my fingers crossed tonight.

Whatcha hoping for?

It's nice to see you again too! It makes me smile. And you know what.....

GROWING SMILES

A smile is quite a funny thing,
It wrinles up your face,
And when it's gone, you never find
It's secret hiding place.

But far more wonderful it is
To see what smiles can do;
You smile at one, she smilesat you,
And so one smile makes two.

She smiles at someone since you smiled,
And then that one smiles back;
And that one smiles, until in truth
You fail in keeping track.

Now since a smile can do great good
By cheering hearts of care,
Let's smile and smile, and not forget
That smiles go everywhere!

How you been? New puppy hectic huh? What make and model did you opt for?

Sure glad that you are back ..... we've missed you.

Hope you had a relaxing vacation because I am in need of several poems.

Must be time to start cracking the whip again. :)

Oh, that's so nice, Kuds! Thanks so much. How about a song to go with your poem?

What make and model did you opt for?

Chihuahua, similar to this…

No offense, but that looks as though it should be a bobble-head figurine.

I have a Scottish Terier and a West Highland White Terrier.

I have to move them around with magnets.

I had a little Westie when I was young. They're really cute, too. My Bichon Frise looks a bit like it, and his temperament reminds of my Westie. My Chihuahua is nicer than the graphic. It's very small and adorable.

What a sweet song and sentiments. Here. :-)

SUDDEN LIGHT

I have been here before,
But when or how I cannot tell.
I know the grass beyond the door,
The sweet keen smell,
The sighing sound, the lights around the shore.

You have been mine before -
How long ago I may not know;
But just when at that swallow's soar
Your neck turned so,
Some veil did fall - I knew it all of yore.

Has this been thus before?
And shall not thus time's eddying flight
Still with our lives our love restore
In death's despite,
And day and night yield one delight once more?

How adorable. My Congratulations to Logan. And his family. I had the pleasure of attending a 1st birthday party this weekend too! It's always fun to see the expression of amazed bewilderment within the eyes of the youngin as all these *strangers* start singing to them. Good times.

Prolific

I guess you’ve heard the story, the kernel on the chessboard,
Where every square redoubled. The math that that incurred!!
It was two to the sixty-fourth, a considerable amount,
But here’s a number in its league, that doesn’t seem to count.

A fertilized ovum, a zygote, if you will,
Doubles and redoubles with a place on Earth to fill.
And if it gets a chance to start in breathing on its own,
Who knows to just what magnitude a little seed has grown?

But all too often happenstance prevents the growth in full,
Sometimes it’s only growing wrong, most often it’s a tool.
A sharp and painful instrument, from the Devil and from Death.
Interrupts the Holy plan before the baby draws its breath.

There must be somewhere that the just reward for what took place,
Will ultimately present itself to those who have to face,
The One who grades us for our math, and if someone should ask,
Subtracting gets a failing grade, when Multiply was the task.
