Ah, the temp assignment I was working had a slump in volume, so they waved bye-bye, so no income. Found out right after I got out of the hospital (again) for an Angioplasty (again) following a heart attack (again).
Sheesh. If it weren't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any at all. I kind of snapped yesterday after the roaring stereo from downstairs capped the day off for me yesterday- drove out to a wildlife sanctuary at Mason's Neck. Tonic for the soul. Feel better now. :-)

Sitting in the woods with the bunny rabbits and raccoons and fireflies does that for me. An hour or two and I feel much better. :-)

Awwwwwwww, so sorry to hear about the job loss Riley. You have had more than your share of adverse experiences, my FRiend. I just emailed a former HS friend who is a VP of a company in the DC area. Maybe he can be of help. I'll let you know.
Glad the bunnies and other critters lifted your spirits. Would a {{{{{hug}}}}} help too?? :)

LOL
Animals are funny. Our German Shepherd, Millie, loves to kill gophers but she will not eat them. She buries 'em. She gets in the mood to chase birds and any bird that comes in the yard she barks and chases them away.
Now you know why I call her Sillie Millie.

;~)
I wonder if it would be easier than teaching them to stay out of things that do not belong to them?
I think we would lose either way! :)

Yes, it did, thank you! Just got a call from a great Christian friend of mine in California that helped as well.
I have a lot of stuff to get done today- I may have to go visit with the furry forest creatures again afterwards.
I'll be keen to hear what your friend has to say!

Thx. Hope yours is fun too. I've got to get ready for my nephews birthday party. He is the big 1 year old today.
Maybe I'll stop by after we get home later. If you see Victoria tell her I found some new (old) poems. If she is around tonight I'll share a few I've read. BFN.

NiMH has brought us LIVE critters.
Since we're, to his point of view, defective cats that can't hunt he has decided to bring us live prey to teach us how.
So he brings bunnies and birds into the house and lets them go for us to play with.
He also has wanted me to run through teh brush with him after birds.
He still doesn't understand that I'm 5'5" tall, and he's at best 11" tall, that this difference means he can go through brush much quicker than I can.

Just wentfor a bike ride.
It ceased being fun when the legs started to hurt going up the hills.
So I'm back here where there's fun!

Thank you, Amy! I have been taking too long to get underway today, not too much done yet, but I shall make a point of doing so.

That is sooo cute. He must be worried that since you are such a lousy hunter, you are hungry.

LOL!
Probably.
You should see the look he gives me when I try to tell him that therer is no way I'll ever be able to catch the catbird.
To say it's stunned incredulity is an understatement.
He then tries to get me to follow him into teh brush 'stalking' stuff.
Like squirrels and voles.
(Squirrels I can sneak up on. Voles are harder to find.)
He'll pounce on stuff and then step aside so that I can bat at it.
He just really doesn't seem to understand that humans don't and cannot hunt stuff the way he does.
