He seems pretty large but I don't think he is over-sized. He has a good appetite and loves to run and play.
He enjoyed chasing the lawnmover the other day. I don't know what he wanted to do with it if he'd caught it. :)

UGH, hate those mud wasps.
But since they are less insanely aggressive than the paper wasps and they kill the bugs that would eat my rose, I leave them alone.

We are feeding him Iam's Puppy Chow with a small amount of Pedigree Puppy canned food.
When should I start training ie: sit, stay. I've been trying to teach him to sit but he gets too excited to stay sitting.
I'd said I would never purchase another dog; there are so many in shelters that need homes. I couldn't resist when hubby took me to see the litter, tho.
I've never hitched Louis/Max to a plow. I may try that to see how strong he is. ;~)

LOL!
The captions fit so well that there could have been thought bubbles above them.

Labs will start training at 6 weeks. They learn commands very fast, especially with treats. They get ADD at first but they improve with time.

Okay .... I will keep it going.
He knows what I want him to do when I tell him to sit, he just doesn't want to stay there very long. Gimme the treat; gimme the treat.

Grandma's Lilacs
Grandma's yard was full of flowers
Never were there weeds
Sweetly smelling velvet petals
She planted all from seeds.
Roses, daisies, daffodils,
I caught my breath each time
I walked into this little garden
It's beauty was sublime.
Grandma loved her lilacs best
She held her breath each year
Hoping that the weather held
A late freeze she would fear.
The magic morning would arrive
When fragrance filled the room
And I would know before I looked
Grandma's lilacs were in bloom.

I wish we could join you. It sounds like lots of fun and a great treat to meet the Ronald Reagan.
We have scheduled our Annual picnic for September 11th. Maybe you can get a group to come up for that weekend. We will hold a rally on the evening of the 10th and have our picnic on the 11th. We will probably plan a march or something for that time.
Mark your calendar .... we would love to see you!!!!
