LOVELY BUTTERFLY
by John Khuu
Cocooned in my own blindness
I followed right after love,
Cocooned in my utter bliss
I felt what was truly love.
But. . .
I wrapped my dreams around her,
And now I fall without her.
I once flew with the angels
Flying high I felt true love,
I felt love from my angel
Soaring in the clouds of love. . .
Once.
She flew away from my dreams,
I grasp silk with broken seams.
Butterfly catchers hiding,
Caught up in their loveless sport.
They pin down anything flying
But she's out of reach from hurt
For now.
I'm no butterfly catcher,
But a lover lost out here.
I lost her love to Prince Charmin'-
An image she drew of me.
I lost heed from my believing
That she would love me for me.
But. . .
She clothed the Prince around me,
I wrapped my dreams too tightly.
Lovely butterfly she is. . .
And I, the ugly lover
Clutching silk with broken seams. . .
Flying from me forever. . .
Gone.
I love you always Huijie,
But where do I go to now?

Without A Bumper Sticker
Read: Acts 4:5-22
They saw the boldness of Peter and John . . . . And they realized that they had been with Jesus. Acts 4:13
Bible In One Year: Psalms 16-17; Acts 20:1-16
While driving in rush-hour traffic one day, I found myself behind a car with a bumper sticker. It had a yellow smiley face on it with these words: SMILEJESUS LOVES YOU.
Suddenly another car squeezed in front of thesmileycar, forcing the driver to hit the brakes. With that, he shook his fist angrily, displaying anything but a smiley face. I felt ashamed, until I remembered my own impatience as a driver. The incident reminded me that our actions and reactions, more than the display of a sticker on our car, show whether we really know the Lord Jesus.
Acts 4 tells us that Peter and John faced opposition from local rulers, elders, and scribes as they proclaimed the good news of Christ. But their reaction caused their opponents to start thinking. Even though Peter and John were not highly educated, the people marveled at their bold witness and realized that these two men had been with Jesus. There was no need for a bumper sticker on the apostles donkey. Their words and actions said it all.
Do you feel too untrained or timid to be a witness for God? If youll spend time getting to know Jesus, He will empower you to impress others with Himself. Youll have boldnesswithout a bumper sticker. Joanie Yoder
For me twas not the truth you taught,
To you so clear, to me so dim;
But when you came to me, you brought
A deeper sense of Him. Clelland
Actions speak louder than bumper stickers.

GOOD MORNING!
I start my vacation when I get off work from my f.t. job this afternoon, WOOOHOOOO! I'll be back to work Monday, July 26th. Not going anywhere, just stay around the house and rest and clean, or at least move piles around. I don't know if I'll be here while I'm on vacation, dial-up at home and don't know if I can trust myself NOT to be here ALL day.
They brought us some work yesterday and we're still working on it today, so don't know if I'll be around much today. Enjoy your day, and have a wonderful week! I'll miss EVERYONE!

LOL! Morning, Amy. I hope you are having a wonderful Friday. I get to have a wild Friday night at work. hehehe. But I suppose working at night is a good thing in a way - I'm actually getting housework done this morning. I usually have no motivation to do it after I get home.
To: Diver Dave
Your weekend sounds wonderful .... I think I'll join you!!
