I've owned many but for rugged dependability my Pentax K1000 can not be beat. Nothing auto about it. Kust a tough SLR multi-lens camera.

Poor kitty.

Can't view the Hahn ad, have to have admin privileges to load player.

That Chinese Heinekin ad really illustrates your 5 stages of drunkeness very well.

I don't crave beer now like I did when I was younger. Now when it's hot outside I just want cold, clean water. Of course the whole thing did give you an excuse to post that pretty lady...

I had Basic, CoBol, Fotran, and other ancient laguages in the late 70's and early 80's. I was really good at it but found it tediously boring to write code. I liked figuring out how to accomplish something and let someone else figure out the comma's, dashes, brackets, etc.

Hey FRiends! Would y'all believe it's "Don't Put All Your Eggs in One Omelete Day"? I swear I don't make this stuff up! hehehe

Question of the day:

How do you crack up a bunch of eggs in a basket?

Thank you, OESY!! Hope you don't mind that I repost it.

To a Poet a Thousand Years Hence

I who am dead a thousand years,
And wrote this sweet archaic song,
Send you my words for messengers
The way I shall not pass along.
I care not if you bridge the seas,
Or ride secure in the cruel sky,
Or build consummate palaces
Of metal or of masonry.
But have you wine and music still,
And statues and a bright-eyed love,
And foolish thoughts of good and ill,
And prayers to them who sit above?
How shall we conquer? Like a wind
That falls at eve our fancies blow,
And old Maeonides the blind
Said it three thousand years ago,
O friend unseen, unborn, unknown,
Student of our sweet English tongue,
Read out my words at night, alone:
I was a poet, I was young.
Since I can never see your face,
And never shake you by the hand,
I send my soul through time and space
To greet you. You will understand.

-- James Elroy Flecker (1884-1915)

...found it tediously boring to write code.

I learned(?) some Perl, Java, and JavaScript in my web design classes. But I'm with you CG, I really don't enjoy programming. I'm not detail-oriented enough for it. I like dreaming up the big-picture and delegating (or sub-contracting) the details! ;-)

Meeting went well. A web site will most likely come from it down the road. It's a new business that just opened.

Marissa and Louie/Max send hugs, kisses and waggly tails for that adorable poem.

Thank you for being so thoughtful!

I learned Fortran and Basic, having had its creator, John Kemeny, as my math prof -- when he wasn't disappearing behind a cloud of smoke. What a mind, and good lungs too!

And what a change from the days when you wrote a program on "Do not fold, spindle or mutilate" cards, and turned them into the computer center for pick-up the next morning. The first real Drudge, but I'm dating myself.
