That's a lovely graphic, Lori. Thanks. I hope Thomas Kinkade wouldn't mind that I used one of his paintings to make it.
Hope you're enjoying your evening.
I am. It's been hot today, I am looking forward to a cool down this evening. Unlike other parts of the country, when the sun sets, it usually cools down nicely, no matter how hot it has been during the day.
You have a nice evening too.

Hi Jen! Nice to see you here. I am hardly ever here when you are, and I suspect you aren't here now either.
How nice that you have a daughter to do mother/daughter things with. I envy you. I know you are enjoying your time with her. :-)

I love Red Skelton's Commentary on the Pledge. I have seen it before, but did not know that it was one of his teachers who explained the words.
Thank you for posting it today, on Flag Day.

Margaritas? You bet. Today is a Red Letter Day in many ways. Besides, I don't need any excuse - I'm always ready to make some Margaritas.
Missy can even join us since she is an official "adult". Missy had to remind me last night that she is 21! I had forgotten. hahahahaha Dang, I don't feel old enough to have a daughter her age! :)
Cheers!

Good evening, Lori.
I've been trying to answer a few pings and do some yard work at the same time. Needless to say, the yard work gets ignored for the most part.
Glad to hear that you are feeling better. I've been taking Tylenol. :~)

Thank you, Victoria.
I love the Pledge of Allegiance by Red Skelton.
I think his words should be played every morning in every classroom in this nation.
Hope you had a good day. Have a wonderful evening.

Dawn Rainbow
A rainbow only bounces back to you the color in the light.
You get something quite special when the circumstance is right.
An early morning shower when the sun had hardly shown,
Caused the rainbow to get dressed in haste, in colors not its own.
Full golden was the rainbow, with neon at the edge,
As the sun was rising sleepily from beyond its earthen ledge.
I had never seen a rainbow that was monochrome like that,
But I remember vividly just where I was and where it sat.
There was no gold to find down on the ground beneath the bow,
For all of it was utilized in putting forth the glow.
No doubt you think Im daft to even say I saw the sight,
For no one else has ever seen a rainbow in dawns light.

A golden rainbow! Wow, what a spectacular sight. It would make a beautiful picture - or painting. Wish I had artistic talent.
Maybe Jacqui could creat an illustration for your poem if she has time and interest in doing so.

I tried Google, with no success.
It really was an incredible sight. It would probably be easier to draw or paint it than to find a photographic image.

Maybe a painter among the group will take that on. I have no artistic talent. :(
