Cheers y'all. Nice to know the entire US of A hasn't gone anti-smoking on me... and greetings from the all-too-warm Land Down Under! (Where it's early Saturday evening as I type, and therefore a fine time to get stuck into my two remaining vices... good liquor and good tobacco.)

Nite, Gabz. Take Care, y'hear? Thanks for the drink. I guess the bartender is gone, and I don't know how to mix drinks and all I get is foam when I pour a beer, so I think I'll boogie too! Ya'll help yourself. Don't forget to toss the trash in the dumpster out back and turn out the lights when you leave. I left a handful of quarters on the juke box. Enjoy!

Yup - the coffee's fresh - I just put on another pot!

I was lazy last night - baked sweet potatoes, peas and a ham steak.

Tonight we're having venison steaks (they're in the fridge marinating) with noodles and limas.

Thanks! Yum! We're going out to dinner tonight, but I don't know where yet. Hubby is getting ready to go help one of his co-workers tow a car he bought to restore to his house-the guy hasn't ever towed a car, so he rented a car dolly, and hubby (who has towed many a car) is going to do the driving.

I've convinced hubby that today would be a good day to finish painting the kitchen............it's a bit over cast, but dry and in the mid 50s already.

It's 56 here already and sunny. Hubby just left to go tow that car, so I'm going to start laundry, sweep all the floors, mop the tile, and clean the wood floors with Swiffer orange wet mopping thingees.

It's 56 and sunny here also - I've had most of the windows open since this morning!!!!

My kitchen walls are FINALLY painted........all that is left are the windows and cabinet doors. I'm going to do the windows after I have some lunch. tomorrow I will make the curtains - just not inthe mood for that today.

Can you get one shipped to the lounge? We need a bouncer from time to time, as well as a gimmick. The gimmick being that the unruly, solicitors, and the just plain obnoxious will be required to dance with the crocodile. :)

Hmmm, yeah well maybe, as I am less than eighty miles from Steve Irwin's "Australia Zoo", but today I don't feel like driving anywhere as the mercury's heading above forty (that's 110 or thereabouts for you Americans) and with his wife coming from Oregon and all, I'm not sure I'm up to it even if the heat weren't so fierce.

Don't get me wrong. I loved Oregon, wanted to settle there. But my husband died there, too...

Um, c'n'I have another Scotch and sit by the fire a while to think? (What I'm thinking is, you guys really want a couple of koalas - those things are nowhere near as fluffy as they look, and have sharp claws that'd rip yer face off - do any bouncer proud! Maybe we could even sic' em on some Democrats. I'm thinking John Kerry, meself...)
