Ah well, I guess I've eaten enough turkey for one week anyhow.
May be coming to see you in February. Have to see how the schedule works out.

In the trenches all week, She. Sheesh! So many fronts -- so little time. Don't know if we're winning or losing.

Don't know if we're winning or losing. Well........Maine has lost.........totally.
Complete smoking ban coming in January. Restuarants were forced to go smoke free in 1999, now our wonderful lawmakers have inacted a TOTAL smoking ban come January.
We have lost.
Funny this damn liberal state just doesn't BAN CIGARETTES AND PULL THEM OFF OF THE DAMN COUNTERS. I just can't understand it.

It takes about 2 gallons of oil, peanut preferrably, and takes about 3 to 4 minutes per pound.
Get the oil to about 350 degrees and start deep frying.

I don't think they were using a 'deep fryer'. I filched this off of NYPOST.COM
November 28, 2003 -- Two women were badly burned yesterday as they tried to deep-fry a turkey at a home in the Borough Park section of Brooklyn, officials said.
The mother and daughter had second-degree burns on their arms and legs after they were splattered with hot oil at around 2:30 p.m., Fire Department officials said. It was unclear how the Thanksgiving Day accident occurred.
Fire officials said the women could have been using a pot or pan unsuited to frying a turkey - or that the bird could have contained water that caused the oil to splash and spit.

"Two women went to the hospital trying to deep fry a turkey here in NY." City girls prolly forgot to kill it first.
On a serious note, deep frying a turkey can be dangerous if the person doing the frying hasn't done it before.
"I've never had deep fried turkey. What is it like?"
Compared to my apple stuffed, slowly smoked turkey, way overrated. But some people like it.
To me, it tastes just like a properly roasted turkey, with a hint of peanut flavor.
BTW...Love your tagline...I'm a mutt too.
To: Vigilantcitizen
haha... thanks..I change my tagline periodically. 'I hate liberals' is a bit redundant.
I will have to try the deep frying thing. This is sounding too good. I foresee being a complete Atkins scofflaw this holiday. Deep fried turkeys will be my new year resolution diet food.
