According to suit brought by Jim Trotter, Jerry Jones and Tery Pegula (r.) made racist comments about multiple issues.
This morning, Pro Football Talk tweeted out the first look NFL fans have gotten at longtime NFL reporter Jim Trotter’s discrimination suit against the NFL.
Trotter’s suit, filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, names the National Football League and NFL Network, Trotter’s former employer, as defendants. The complaint filed on Trotter’s behalf spans a full 53 pages, but PFT tweeted out a few of the allegations contained therein, including allegations of statements that confirm that racial equality is still a big problem in the NFL.
Remember all those “End Racism” block letters in the endzones? Take a look at what Trotter alleges owners Jerry Jones and Terry Pegula have said in his presence. Trotter’s lawsuit alleges, in part:
4) As one such example, Terry Pegula, owner of the Buffalo Bills, stated inteference to player protests against racial injustice that, “If the Black players don’t like it here, they should go back to Africa and see how bad it is.” See infra at SIII(D). Mr. Trotter says he raised complaints and concerns about this remark, but no action was taken.

1. American
2. African American
3. Black American
4. Other, provide the term.
If the player used African American it seems like a valid point they should embrace their roots.
Hey now.
I hear Wakanda’s nice this time of year.
I watched a game Sunday which never had more than 3 white players on the field at any time.
They should sue for equal representation.
Why the law suit? Can people no longer say what they think?
What if those comments were actually said?
No other crude comments are actionable in court, so why would these be?
This racism thing, and offended feelings has got to stop.
I have received much worse on this site, and probably given even worse. With me, it is like pouring water on a duck.
How is that racist?
Under what definition of "racism" does that statement fit?
It's not wrong. It's not mean. It's not derogatory. I really don't see the problem.
Nation of Islam’s Louis Farrakhan said this about another sport——basketball. “In college they just want one things. Put that basketball through that hoop.”
Headline:
Louis Farrakhan compares sports stars to slaves and basketball courts to plantations.
Louis Farrakhan said ‘basketball courts are a training ground for a basketball plantation’ during a speech on Sunday
He then added that spectators watching people play sports are just like men sizing up slaves.
Trotter sounds like just another racist Black with a chip on his shoulder who wants to make trouble. Also sounds like a small man if that statement (if true) causes such a problem for him.
Because the guy who writes the article and person bringing the suit says so.
I remember there were people here who wanted to crucify Ron Paul for daring to say that maybe the crime in black areas was higher than white areas
Oh, the horror…
He then added that spectators watching people play sports are just like men sizing up slaves.

What color were the refs?
Were they over-represented?
I know.
I’m not giving MSN.com any hits, so just reading the excerpt here, how does this guy have any standing to sue? The remarks weren’t directed at him.
And any verification of his claims? Don’t reporters record their interviews?
Pay players in a basket of African currencies if they are so un American but only based on the exchange rates at the beginning of the year. Why is anyone still watching bud light fooseball
Probably BS. This is the court that has been used to go after Trump.
The sad part of the 97% black representation in the NFL is that the League/game becomes like a Zoo. Fans pay to watch the animals play.
The players don’t attempt to hide their animalness by beating their chests like Gorillas in the wild. This display is shown after making a play that they are paid to do and practice for the week before the game.
I am turned off, completely!
Pete Roselle’s wish was that the NFL would not be a “studio sport.”
It has become that, for sure.
Don’t get me started on how the League has abandoned the player’s health problems!
“sizing up slaves.”
It’s not our fault that they grow so tall!
Farrakhan? Was he Race monger, or what?
PS Fans contribute to the huge salaries the “slaves” earn.
