Riley Gaines, the Kentucky swimmer who tied with transgender athlete Lia Thomas in the women’s 200-meter freestyle event at the NCAA championships, penned an op-ed for Fox News calling for the country to properly recognize that female sports need protection.
Gaines wrote her op-ed in honor of the 37th National Girls and Women in Sports day that will be celebrated on February 1, arguing that the very concept of women’s sports teams faces annihilation from men who wish to compete alongside females.
“Males are hurdling themselves forward in national rankings stealing scholarships, titles, and opportunities from women who have worked their whole lives for those accomplishments,” wrote Gaines.

“Dadgum it ladies, all you have to do is get together and boycott, won’t take more than two events. “
True, that is the only solution. Why have (to my knowledge) none boycotted any event? They are afraid of appearing “transphobic”. Girls can’t handle being called names or not fitting in with crowd. This has all been carefully planned.
Yeah, let’s put it all on Riley Gaines, who has been out there, riding buses and campaigning for Republicans in multiple states, including Georgia with Herschel Walker. It’s her fault for not solving the Trans mess.
Oh, you guys who are blaming Riley, why haven’t you done anything?
Why do we allow separate men’s and women’s sports? It is not simply sexual segregation. It is because of the undeniable biological fact that athletic men are stronger and faster than athletic women. Simply compare the men’s and women’s records in each sport. Allowing trannies to compete will end women’s sports, particularly in the upper levels.
She was a college student who had worked hard her entire life to reach the upper echelon of her sport and to try and make it to the Olympics. She knew that if she complained she would have been kicked off of the team, not him.
She did speak up then.
Oh quit your ridiculous whining. Thomas is a MAN, have you noticed? and MEN let him compete.
When I was a young man if any guy had tried to compete on the girls team it would have been a lifetime of humiliation. What happened? That’s a rhetorical question.
Calm down, calm down. It's only Wednesday. Wait till Friday night for venting!
My apologies, Friday it is…
You’re partially right, but in 100 years when historians are investigating the cause of the collapse of the former United States of America, one word will dominate: “Cotton.” As in, “We should have picked our own.”
No argument.
The women on the UPenn team were threatened with reprisals by the University administration if they spoke against "Lia".
'Your life will be over': Teammate of Lia Thomas says UPenn officials warned women's team of consequences for complaints about trans swimmer's presence
....you’ll be blasted all over the Internet as a transphobe … you’ll never be able to get a job,” the teammate told Matt Walsh as part of his just-released "What Is a Woman?" documentary…
Speak for yourself. I highly doubt many truly conservative women were in any way supportive of this travesty.
That’s not how it started out. Remember when it was just “tolerance”....? They just want to be able to be around other people without having to worry about getting beat up! That’s all!!!
That was a long time ago.
Anyway, don’t take it personally! I’m not blaming you!
Likewise!
Maybe she did...what the hell do you know?
Exactly correct........
