Dog Hilariously Attempts to Find a Bear That Suddenly Disappears From His TV Screen

Oftentimes, pet owners share funny videos of their dogs watching the TV as humans do by focusing on the screen like they understand what’s going on. One totally hilarious footage of a dog trying to find a bear after it vanished from his TV screen went viral.

Interesting that dogs have object permanence.

Funny video! The second one is hilarious as doggy intently watches the girl threatened by dinosaurs and saved by a gorilla.

My best cat looked over the room when I played Art Bell’s screaming cat (no image, just the sound). He walked around the computer speakers, determined to find a cat in HIS territory.

Our cat likes to watch bird videos on my monitor. When a bird flies or walks off the screen, the cat either looks behind the monitor or glances at the windows at either side of my desk.

We had a Sheltie that did that once with a squirrel. It ran off the TV screen and our dog ran into the hallway looking for it.

I had a Golden that followed a soccer ball off the screen and tried to get into the nearby closet to look for it.

Our previous Maltese (passed away in 2016) was sure the TV was a window to the side yard. Every time giraffes or deer or any other large animal appeared on the screen she would run up to stand on her hind legs and bark at them, and when they moved off screen to the left she would go tearing out the the door to get around the wall and out into the yard to go after them.

They were never there - but she never learned. :)

My pet parrots and parakeets are experts on what goes on on the screens of the home security cameras especially if it involves me coming or going. And they particularly pay attention to which car is turning into the driveway as they know which driver is associated with each car.
