Baseball legend Yogi Berra reportedly once proclaimed, “It’s like déjà vu all over again,” and while a bit of a redundancy, many shooters may be feeling such a sensation when heading to buy ammunition. The great ammunition shortage of 2021, along with high prices if you do find any, won’t likely end anytime soon–and it is unlikely to be contained to a single year.

But I don’t call posters out ON EVERY THREAD.
Around $6.50 a box of 50 and when during Trump’s presidency I was buying CCI’s for $2.95 give or take.
Actually, ammo is available in the places I’ve looked and 9mm is cheaper right now than I’ve seen it in a year.
Runnings had 9mm yesterday.
A 100 round brick for $35.
Cheapest I’ve seen in a long time.
They were out of that today but still had 9mm in 50 round boxes for $20/box.
I think that’s because nobody is buying them? I like my .40 S&W and my dad’s .357 Smith and Springfield 1911A1; nine-mil seems a bit small and you have to unload a bunch to stop someone. I’ve seen lots of ads for 9mm few for other rounds.
I think maybe they only banned Russian gun imports like Saiga and Kalashnikov? I know tula is everywhere, but maybe they don’t make it in the factory in Russia?

Get a life, jackass!
19fortyfive never has information that is timely, useful or even accurate. The site is a complete waste of time. Its nothing but hit and run reposts from other sources.
No, what u did is worse.
What value do you add to any thread?
Serious question.
So?
I found Stingers and Mini-mags would not operate a semi-auto rifle. Never had that happen with any brand before.
Considering how hard it has been to even get a gun, a 9 mm will do the job.
Heck, even a 22 can nick an artery.
There’s never before been an ammo shortage that threatens the existence of “gun culture” in America. This one does that very thing.
Are the prices dropping or still higher priced?
9mm is double what it was before, $24.99 box of 50, versus $12.99.
Had gotten as high as $34.99.
It’s going to take some time, but prices will come down.
I’d check the box. There could also have been some wheeling and dealing to get Tula Ammo disconnected from Rostec, which was the target of the sanctions.
Wolf and Tula were the main brands on the shelf both are stamped big and proud made in Russia. There was easily 10,000 rounds worth on the shelves I counted 30 spam cans of 5.56 and at least the same number of 7.62 plus two full end caps floor to head high of loose 20 rounders all Wolf made in Russia. There was zero shortage of 5.56, 7.62*39&54r, that had at least 2000 rounds of M80 7.62*52 mm in 20 round boxes for a buck twenty a round that was Lake City made in the USA milspec
Yesterday I saw a Russian spam cans of 800 9mm steel cased 115gr fmj for $220 that’s up from $149 before the gas printed trillions out of thin air. I don’t expect to ever see the original price again. Anyone with even a freshmen college level of economics can explain why.
Gee thanks for telling me, I had no idea without your all knowing attention to detail
They may have done some reshuffling. I know there was a plant in Germany that produced Wolf branded ammo, but I think they just did .22 ammo.
