Thou shalt not mock the left, certainly not with an election looming.
In Saturdays New York Times, tech reporter Kevin Roose talked with Times reporter Emma Goldberg about her previous humor-impaired article regarding The Babylon Bees brand of satire, which is controversial among the left and the media because unlike The Onion it mocks political figures and ideas other than Donald Trump and the GOP.
Rooses piece appeared under the hostile but representative headline How The Babylon Bee, a Right-Wing Satire Site, Capitalizes on Confusion." The paper blurbed Roose's story on Saturdays front page under the heading Distortions. The print headline was no less hostile: A Right-Wing Satire Site That Sometimes Tricks a Bit Too Well.
The site recently received renewed interest after Trump forwarded a Babylon Bee piece that referenced the social-media squelched New York Post story on Hunter Biden.

Humor is an amazing antidote to brainwashing—and the New York Times is in the brainwashing business.
Variation of old Russian joke—”In America, TV programs you!”
No introspection either, or else after noticing that they can’t tell their own politics from satire they might wonder if maybe they are the problem.
Guess they'll be coming after SNL next.
Sure they will.

NYT: “You can’t make fun of us! You can’t make fun of Democrats! You can’t make fun of Liberals! WAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!”
Well, FaceBooks fact-checkers, like CNN’s “fact” checkers are completely unbiased and honest, and don’t want us “hicks and hayseeds” to read anything ‘not truthish’ so we should be thankful they’re keeping us safe, and shielding us from those evil neo-nazi/alt-right/racist-deplorables.
The problem isnt The Bee. Every time you do some outrageous satire about the Left, they take it as a challenge and they do something even more outrageous.
I like to say Im old enough to remember when The Bee was a satire site.
First SNL after 9/11:
Lorne Michaels to Rudy Giuliani: “Can we be funny?”
Giuliani: “Why start now?”
The best way to drive out the devil, if he will not yield to texts of Scripture, is to jeer and flout him, for he cannot bear scorn. Martin Luther

*sob!*

Paging that entertainer, Rachael Madcow.
Since Hillary has advised Biden to never concede, that means that Facebook will never allow any Trump victory to be considered legitimate.
I remember that.
Nothing hurts liberals more than being sincerely laughed at.
Especially when it is highly accurate satire.
“...sometimes tricks a bit too well...” It’s not fair, apparently, because they cannot discern between satire and news. And because some of the jabs strike too close to the truth, it would seem! As has been said, the only distress of a rebuke (or satirization) is the element of truth to it.
Its like what The Daily Show does to left-wingers, except we know the Bee isnt actual news. They really fall for it.
Maybe the Bee has a larger circulation?
You forgot to mention irony on your list of leftist deficiencies. The left is completely irony deficient, in their total inability to recognize it.
