The news cycle whipped itself up into a national discussion about flag burning this week after President-elect Donald Trump tweeted on Tuesday.
After the now-infamous tweet, countless voices on both the Left and the Right condemned the statement, each making their own arguments, most condemning the act of flag burning while defending your right to do so.

Good point...
Watch 'em.
Perhaps a better memo would be: If it's okay to burn the Stars and Stripes, Is it okay to burn the Rainbow Flag?
You do not understand the power of Doublethink.
Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.
And curiously, this dichotomy never occurs to the person holding the contradictory beliefs.
If it’s okay to burn the Stars and Stripes.....
How do you like your Liberal?? Medium rare??
They also fail to note that The Donald trolled the MSM by that very tweet since it is the core of legislation put forward by Hillary herself...
Consistency isn’t the issue, the issue is raw political power, and one certainly can ban hate speech and allow flag burning if the only criterion is the ideological preference of the person making the decision. It happens under a government of men, not of law, which is exactly what the progressives are trying to accomplish.
This needs to be driven into their thick skulls with a base ball bat.

Yes it is. And the only way to stop the left is to do exactly what they do and force them to publicly take a stand. It is something Alinsky feared and we don’t do enough of it.
A bit off-topic, but in most cities there is an ordinance against burning something (leaves, or whatever) without a permit. Why not just cite the protesters for that?
I’m sure these ordinances provide for stiffer penalties if the original citation is ignored.
Of course “sanctuary cities” would not enforce that ordinance, but they would also ignore any other law the flag-burners might break.
What’s disturbing is that nobody, so it seems, in the media gets the intelligence and logic of DJT. To be able to express a complex argument as a simple contradiction is brilliant. It’s the very best way to destroy their argument.
I've been asking what you suggest for awhile, no answers: Perhaps liberal maniacs really think it's okay to burn the flag. Is it okay to violate fire laws?
korans and any flags are fair game to desecrate and or burn.
Tyrants can do whatever they wish. There is no freedom in the world of the Left.
Cognitive Dissonance.........
when one is an emotionalist and social metaphysician, and despises reason and reality, one can be inconsistent as long as it feels right and one is acce[pted by one's preferred group
The tweet:
“Nobody should be allowed to burn the American flag - if they do, there must be consequences - perhaps loss of citizenship or year in jail!”
