I don't see any difference between Santorum's support for Spector and Palin's for McCain.

Okay. I can't argue with you about this on Independence Day. Have a good Fourth.

The difference in 2012 is going to be that many of those moderates have gotten their white guilt out of their systems. Now that they've seen what Obama's inexperience has wrought, they may feel themselves free to vote for someone else they believe can fix the mess he's created. Sarah has had experience in fixing messes; she did so in Alaska. When she is the candidate, with the complete stage, rather than coming in during the last two months as the Veep, in the background, I believe she will be able to woo many of those Independents and Moderates.

Good answer. That makes alot of sense. Plus voters are 4 years older, poorer and hopefully wiser. I have to be honest, I thought there was no way we were losing in 2008. I was convinced up until the very end. I am keeping my eyes open this time around, Obama must be beat. Palin is a polarizing figure, her beliefs are not, she is. I see it in my own family, all Republicans, my mother and brother thinks she's a joke, my dad loves her, my wife likes her and I sometimes like her sometimes can't stand her. We all vote Republican and I am sure we will all vote for her if she becomes the nominee, but to see this much division over her in an all Republican family is eye opening.

"Palin is impressive, but can’t hold a candle to St. Joan."

Interesting choice of words. Do you think Palin could hold a candle to the bales of sticks piled up under Joan's feet? LMAO!!! By the way, your Catholic slip is showing, and I have a gut feeling you're better than that.

There is no country in Europe, past or present, the saving of which could ever be as important to the entire world as will be Palin's pulling America back from the brink of destruction by the Socialist Porgressive swine currently engineering and effecting her demise.

When Sarah (and we) succeed in restoring the greatest nation in the history of Mankind on Earth, that act will eclipse everything ever accomplished by any and all Europeans throughout World History.

We're talking Order Of Magnitude, here, Ivan'ich.

Remember, it wasn't Europe which saved America from falling into global despotic tyranny twice in the last century alone. One has a real cool history, if you're into that stuff. The other has a well-deserved reputation for saving the World, over and over again. We're doing it again right now by beating back the flames of the Islamic conflagration lapping at Eurpoe's doorstep as we chat.

Oh, and "You're welcome."

St. Joan of Arc was commissioned by God. I’m not even sure Palin could win the Republican nomination. At this point she isn’t even running. And you’re convinced she’ll run, get nominated, win again and then succeed beyond anyone’s wildest dreams. That’s quite an imagination you got there.

It's called faith. Something I'd think you'd have at least some familiarity with. My belief in Palin is not so much in the woman, but in my prayerful belief that it is she whom God Himself has lifted up to deliver us from this enemy.

There is no doubt that she, too, is prayerfully Spirit led in all she does. In short, I have faith in God. I know Sarah Palin to be doing His will. Call it imagination if you like. Mere time will prove which of us is right.

Because Spector supports infanticide, that`s one difference!

Sorry, but I don’t think that’s faith. Again, I like Palin, but she’s no more of a Messiah than Obama is. I put my faith in Christ.

If McCain picked Huckabee he might have won.

McCain never had any intention of winning. He was part of the scam to get Obama crowned. Palin almost won it in spite of him.

I never said she was the Messiah. You just bore false witness. That's a lie, Vlad. Shame on you. Why do you feel the need to lie? You're a phony.

Just calling it like I see it. I honestly believe every word of that, and I'm very happy you agree. I don't think we've ever had so Godly a president, and it's about time.

BTW, watch out for the Catholics... they have their daggers out again (and their forked tongues).

Palin certainly does not impress me one bit.

But polls do?

And one over a month old?

Polls are like computers that when you buy one and set it up it is already obsolete.

Four years ago Hillary was polling 10+ points ahead of Obama.

In case you don't pay too close attention except to info that can diss Palin, Obama was elected, not Hillary.

He's Present. Present Obama.

You folks are amazing. Not one person refers to the article posted which is the basis of this article.

I must have struck a chord.

Pshcy Freep, I agree with every word you said. I like Palin, I respect her but the idea of Palin becoming the Republican candidate scares the daylights out of me and it’s for the reason stated in this article. Right now, her unfavorables are dangerously high. This is simply not a good idea.

I thought Jesus Christ was going to do that?

Please do not engage in human idol worship....

I wasn't aware Jesus was a "European," which was the point of my comment. I was also discussing things people had done. When we go to elect a president, if we compare the candidates only to Jesus, we'll never be able to elect anyone, because all men fall so far short.

Stop being petulant, it doesn't glorify God when you act pious and holier than thou. You are no less a sinner than anyone else.

Just want to let you know the Holy Bible says Christ himself will deliver this world from the wicked one, no one else.....

Sarah Palin is a conservative Christian and I am sure she looks to GOD to lead her in her life, she also knows that it is Christ who will deliver this world from evil...

Sarah Palin cannot rescue Men from the evil that penetrates thier hearts...

GOD has told us what we need to do if we want healing...
2 Chronicles 7:14
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

GOD Bless you in always seeking the truth which comes from the LORD GOD...

I was discussing with my Eastern Bloc FReepmate the political forces (Christ-led in Palin's case) that would convene to rescue in 2012 this Constitutional Republic from destruction by the Liberal Progressive Socialists currently trying to destroy it.

You're talking about Christ's redemption of Mankind... a totally different topic, and not at all what I was addressing on this Conservative Political Action/Discussion site.

Moreover, with apparently well-practiced red-herring strategy, you equated my admiration for Palin's leadership and governing record with "human idolatry." It's that kind of misplaced, unprovoked straw-man crackpot evangelizing that gives truly spirit-led teachers a bad name.

Scripture tells us, "to be ready in any season to answer the question of why we have the hope we do." It does not recommend butting into political chats with misguided judgementalisms regarding the focus or intent of the people having their conversation.

You don't know my heart, and your primary job as a Christian is to remove the plank from your own eye before you start making stuff up about the sliver in mine.

In my experience, every piety-stricken would-be Mother Teresa who ever jumped into a political chat here with the prideful intent of "saving" the poor heathens discussing political matters did themselves and their faith very little good by not waiting to hear that question I referred to two paragraphs above this. There's a reason why God phrased that very specific instruction the way He did in Scripture.

You might pray about it.

We all vote Republican and I am sure we will all vote for her if she becomes the nominee, but to see this much division over her in an all Republican family is eye opening.

I'm not surprised about the varying opinions. When she electrified that crowd at the convention, I'm sure the Country Club Americans were absolutely shocked! They saw the control they thought they had re-gained over the GOP slipping through their fingers, and realized they had to do something about it.

The folks who worked for McCain actively undercut Sarah every chance they got. They didn't support her when she was being attacked by the MSM, and after the election, proceeded to pile on, calling the defeat all her fault. The leaders of the GOP, as well as Repubs. in Congress never supported her, and when the MSM kept coming after her, even after the election, never came to her defense, because THEY didn't want to be attacked by the MSM.

Given that the GOP never supported her, and there was continual criticism of her by the media, UNANSWERED, except by Sarah, it's understandable many Republican voters wouldn't have a positive view of her. But I believe that if she is campaigning on her own, and able to set her own agenda for it, she'll be able to present herself to voters without the filters of either McCain's folks, the GOP, or the MSM. By doing that, more people will see her in a new light, and she will look really good compared to Obama.
