Over at conservatives4palin.com a couple of days ago I went out on a limb in response to a skeptic that felt Sarah Palin would not run for POTUS in 2012 and suggested that I could name 50 reasons why Sarah Palin would run for President. Well as I am a person of my word here are those 50 reasons, some understandable and some a little more obscure. Nevertheless, I believe that sometime since 2008 Sarah Palin has considered each one of these issues as she has gotten closer to making the ultimate decision to throw her hat into the ring. So here are the fifty reasons why I am pretty certain that Sarah Palin will run for President in 2012:
1)HER RELATIVE YOUTH AND GOOD HEALTH
How many times in life has a person waited for "a better time" only to have health challenges as they got older?
Teddy Roosevelt was the last GOP president in office under 50. He didn't do too badly; he's on Mount Rushmore.
2)HER OWN COMPETITIVE SPIRIT CAN BE MANIFESTED WITHIN A POLITICAL CAMPAIGN AND SHE HAS THE FIRE IN THE BELLY
Remember Palin's nickname is Barracuda. She got that in high school because of her competitiveness on the basketball court. The campaign marathon will never be too daunting or overwhelming for Sarah Palin.
3)FOR HER CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN
I know all politicians say that and Palin is no different.
4)TO PROTECT AMERICA FROM FOREIGN INVADERS AND TERRORISTS BECAUSE SHE LOVES HER COUNTRY
Nobody can ever accuse Palin of not being a patriot.
5)PUBLICITY WILL BENEFIT ALASKA
Not a direct reason but a financial spinoff for the state from her being an Alaska resident
6)TO RESTORE AMERICA'S HONOR
Stopping the apology tour and reaffirming America as a first-class superpower
7)TO FIX THE ECONOMY AND FACILITATE ECONOMIC GROWTH TO BRING PROSPERITY BACK TO AMERICA
Without fixing the economy America will eventually become a second-rate power.
8)TO RESTORE AND RE-ENERGIZE THE FREE ENTERPRISE SYSTEM
This is part of #7 but also involves recognizing individual initiative, seizing opportunity and achieving individual success which Palin firmly believes in
9)TO USHER IN A NEW ERA OF AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM
In all facets of American life and culture, striving to be the best we can be
10)HER CHILDREN AND HER HUSBAND WANT HER TO RUN
How many potential candidates do not run because their spouse and/or family members do not support the move?
11)TODD PALIN LEFT HIS JOB ON THE NORTH SLOPE
He is only 46. He is too early to retire, don't you think?
12)BECAUSE SHE HAS BEEN A EXECUTIVE (GOVERNOR) AND KNOWS SHE CAN DO THE JOB AS PRESIDENT
Sarah Palin knows she will not become a victim of the Peter Principle if she becomes President
13)PALIN'S RESIGNATION FROM OFFICE ON JULY 3, 2009
If Palin ran for a second term she would not possibly be ready to compete in a presidential campaign in the 21st century.
14)PALIN HAS SPENT THE LAST 18-20 MONTHS GETTING HER DUCKS IN A ROW
Much of it has been sub rosa but nevertheless it has been happening.
15)PALIN CONFIRMED A YEAR AGO SHE HAS BEEN GETTING DAILY BRIEFINGS FROM WASHINGTON INSIDERS
Why does a private citizen no longer directly engaged in government activities contract for such input?
16)PALIN'S STRATEGIC MIDTERM ENDORSEMENTS AND ACTING LIKE A BATTLEFIELD COMMANDER IN THE FIELD
If Sarah Palin were simply a selfish-centered celebretard, why did she work so unselfishlessly to elect others to office? And why did she endorse Branstad of Iowa, Ayotte of NH, and Haley in SC?
17)PALIN HAS IMMENSE LEVERAGE COMING OFF THE HUGE GOP VICTORY AND KNOWS IT AND WILL NOT SQUANDER IT
As much as the MSM wants to downplay Palin's contribution the overwhelming triumph by the GOP in November 2010, the grassroots and most of the GOP primary voters will never forget it. Because of this, once she declares she becomes a serious contender for the nomination.
18)A WEAK OR INNOCUOUS GOP PRESIDENTIAL FIELD IN 2012
Even the most objective pundit admits that.
19)TO BRING FISCAL AND MONETARY SANITY TO WASHINGTON IN THE BUDGETARY PROCESS AND TO REDUCE THE DEFICIT AND DEBT TO PREVENT AMERICA FROM GOING BANKRUPT
Palin did the same thing as Governor of Alaska.
20)TO REDUCE THE FINANCIAL BURDEN OF MOUNTING DEBT ON FUTURE GENERATIONS
Palin has called this immoral.
21)TO MAKE AMERICA SELF-SUFFICIENT IN ENERGY AND TO DEVELOP ALASKA'S NATURAL RESOURCES
Drill baby drill! An absolute passion of Sarah Palin.
22)TO STOP THE SPREAD OF PROGRESSIVISM, SOCIALISM AND MARXISM AND ITS IDEAS AND POLICIES IN AMERICA
Palin considers these ideologies evil and they must be stamped out or America will soon be ruled by an authoritarian regime and bureaucratic apparatus that will bring Americans to their knees financially and spiritually
23)TO ADVANCE CONSERVATIVE PRINCIPLES, VALUES AND POLICIES IN GOVERNMENT INCLUDING PUTTING THE NATURAL RIGHTS OF MAN INTO PRACTICE
The second Reagan revolution
24)SARAH PALIN HAS THE STRATEGIC MIND OF A WARRIOR GENERAL; THE PRESIDENTIAL RACE WILL ALLOW HER TO UTILIZE HER TALENTS TO THE FULLEST
Everyone needs an arena or outlet to display the God-given talents their Creator has bestowed on them.
25)TO LEGITIMIZE AND MOTIVATE THE TEA PARTY MOVEMENT
If the TP does not have have a candidate it can truly rally around with enthusiasm, it could eventually not have the impact in the 2012 election that our side needs to win and eventually die off.
26)TO DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION
Palin believes strongly in the US Constitution and knows if she does not run, there is a strong possibility it will be gutted by Obama by 2016.
27)TO REPEAL OBAMACARE

28)SO THAT A WEAK GOP CANDIDATE DOESN'T WIN THE GOP NOMINATION AND ASSURE OBAMA A SECOND TERM
Palin knows if she does not run, Obama is virtually assured on being re-elected; in addition she knows of people in the GOP who want to "throw the election to Obama in 2012" to pave the way for Jeb Bush in 2016
29)OBAMA IS VULNERABLE
Not a main reason why she would run but if Obama was currently sitting at 60% approval rather than at 45% or 46% job approval she might think twice before running.
30)NATIONAL POLLS OF GOP PRIMARY VOTERS CONTINUE TO SHOW HER ONE OF THE TOP 3 DESPITE ATTEMPTS BY MSM POLLSTERS TO SKEW THE POLLS OR FUDGE THEIR NUMBERS
How many politicians don't run for POTUS because they can't gain traction; conversely how presidential candidates in the first-tier don't run?
31)MIKE HUCKABEE IS NOT RUNNING IN 2012
I know this contradicts #30 but it is what it is. Over the past year Huckabee has thrown cold water on running through interviews, intentions (not making a decision to run or not to the latter part of summer), not referring to Janet Huckabee as being keen on the idea, speculation about his 7 figure contract at Fox News, his 2.8m mortgage on his new home in Florida, Jim VanderPlaats of Iowa hinting Huck might not be running in 2012 and the recent gaffe over where Obama grew up. And how can we forget Clemmons's, clemency and the murder of 4 cops in Washington state? And finally Huck is a poor fundraiser.
Obviously, this puts Sarah Palin in the catbird seat and gives her a clear pathway to the nomination because she is the predominant "second choice" of Huckabee's evangelical supporters.
32)JOHN THUNE IS NOT RUNNING
Several months ago Thune mentioned in an interview his decision whether to run or not would hinge on whether Palin was entering the race
33)THE CURRENT IDEOLOGICAL DEMOGRAPHICS ARE IN HER FAVOR
Voters who self-identify as conservatives have spiked to 41% or 42% of the overall electorate. In 2008 it was around 34% or 35%. Accordingly voters who self-identify as moderates has gone down from 45% to about 38% or 39%. That is a huge shift in the electorate which a conservative like Palin can and will exploit to her political advantage. It's like having home field advantage in a NFL playoff game.
34)BECAUSE SHE KNOWS SHE CAN WIN THE GOP NOMINATION AND BEAT OBAMA IN 2012
Sarah Palin is supremely confident and gifted and a full-fledged superstar. These people know what they are capable of. In 2006 in the same election cycle Palin beat both a sitting GOP governor and a former Democratic governor.
35)TO HAVE THE SELF-SATISFACTION IN PROVING HER CRITICS WRONG
Palin will run for the right reasons but don't tell me that there is a little bit of her mind and soul that would like to her critics and naysayers in the eye and make them eat their words.
36)TO GET REVENGE ON OBAMA FOR 2008 AND TRYING TO BRING DOWN HER FAMILY AND DESTROY HER POLITICAL CAREER WHILE GOVERNOR OF ALASKA
It's called payback, although Palin would never admit it.
37)RECENTLY HIRING A CHIEF OF STAFF TO MANAGE HER PAC
If you really believe Palin hired Michael Glassner just to oversee SarahPAC and for no other purpose I have some swampland to sell you in Louisiana.
Glassner the other day also came out and defended Palin against charges leveled against her by Karl Rove.
38)THE GOP ESTABLISHMENT HAS THE KNIVES OUT FOR SARAH PALIN TO CONVINCE HER NOT TO RUN
This might sound convoluted but why would the party establishment waste their time and energy on someone who they knew was not running?
39)THE LEFT AND THE LEFTIST BLOGOSPHERE CONTINUES TO ATTACK PALIN IN A SPIRIT OF PALIN DERANGEMENT SYNDROME
Again like #38, why if she isn't running?
40)THE MSM AND JOURNOLISTS CONTINUES TO ASSAIL SARAH PALIN ON A DAILY BASIS
Why? Because the Obama WH has ordered them to do it. Why? Because they know she is running.

I read awhile back that Sarah Palin actually told people she wanted to be President one day.

As Candy Crowley of CNN said over a year ago, "In the 21st century you can't run for President and have a day job.

That's a hell of a lot of people ready, willing and able to help you out once you give the word you are running.
46)PALIN'S TRIP TO INDIA AND PERHAPS TO ISRAEL AND BRITAIN AS WELL
Palin is a private citizen. Why does she need to go to these three countries? As a tourist? I don't think so. It's called "burnishing your foreign affairs credentials."

No other GOP candidate appeals to these two constituencies and these groups may provide the margin of victory for the GOP and Palin in 2012.
49)THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT HER TO RUN
They are actually begging her to run. The pain and suffering under the yoke of Obama is overwhelming. The people cry out to Sarah Palin for relief and deliverance from evil.
50)GOD HAS CALLED HER TO TAKE BACK AMERICA
Palin will be on a divine mission. Nothing will be able to stop her.
1) She knows she can't win.
2) There's more money to be made as a political celebrity.
Most of those look like reasons ‘you’ want her to run which is an easy list for you to make.
Did you see Newt and Santorum were suspended from FNC?
I get tired of this from ppl here from all spectrums. Whether you support Romney or Huckabee or Paul or Palin. I respect your right to do so. But what I don't do is personally insult you or denigrate your candidate. Don't you think there is enough division in this country as it is? Do we Conservatives really need to "eat our young"?
Frankly, I am getting tired of people who get off on being in opposition for opposition sake. It just gets old.

Flame on, I WILL most likely read every post to me as I will not dismiss anyone's right to say what they want. But I ask that you don't insult me personally since you do not know me, nor do you know what I believe. Try to stick to the salient points.
This country stands on freedom of speech. You may not like it that people who do not worship your candidate as you do feel freedom to state their case. They have their own reasons that maybe you do not consider. That does not make them right and you wrong.
The lovely part is that we can all have an opinion, express it, campaign, debate and agree to come together or go our own way later.
I voted for McCain/Palin, I also respect why Freepers decided not to vote for them. I understand and respect their opinion. The real question here is why would we have only Palin threads that do not allow those to post any opposing opinion.
The wonderful thing about America is that opinion makes us better and free.

Let's say the impossible happens and in eight months Palin announces she has deeply considered a run but decided now is not the time because of : health, family considerations, attacks by the left , losing out on $$$$ (OK. she won't use that one LOL) .... much like another speech she gave???
There is no NO excuse she can use, that some here can try to argue, that can explain her NOT running after #50 copied above.
You didn't ask me, but I'll tell you anyway. I visit these threads because it's interesting, in a train-wreck sort of way, to watch the slobbering adulation directed toward Ms. Palin. Who will she be compared to this time? Joan of Arc? Mother Theresa? George Washington? Genghis Khan?
Here we learn that Ms. Palin has been "sent by God to take back America." The theological implications of such a statement are rather profound. Is she one of the Two Witnesses of Revelation 11? Is she Jesus Christ?
And really -- once we've got to this point, is it possible to go any higher? I wait and watch, and taunt as the mood strikes me.

Has she ever claimed such a thing?
Sarah herself has never come right out and said that, but anyone who's listened to her carefully over the last few years, or has read her books, could easily come to that conclusion.
From the first moment I saw her, I knew that there was something different about her. Something which transcends mere politics, or even her many excellent personal attributes. Call it the It Factor, if you will, or a certain aura she has. There is just something about the woman that calls to our higher selves.
In looking over her life's story, it's hard not to come to the conclusion that she has been on something of a divine mission for most of her life, and that she is destined to lead this nation back from the brink of destruction.
I know how hyperbolic that may sound, but I'm simply relating what I've perceived about her. I'm sorry, but it's that apparent to me.
Sarah Palin strikes me as someone who could be described as an emissary of the Framers. She's a throwback to the type of people who founded this great country, and bears much in common with them, including the selflessness and the courage to commit herself entirely to the restoration of America, no matter what it takes.
If she doesn't take the oath of office in January 2013, I fear for the future of our beloved country.
