The DUmmies seem to mostly agree with John F. Kerry's OBSERVATION that stupid voters are to blame for the current problems of the Democrats. Ummm... Who's stupid here, John? This is a guy who had a grandmother that spoke with a Yiddish accent yet supposedly he never once displayed the least bit of curiosity as to how he had a name like "Kerry." Or maybe it was explained to him that Granny's lapses into a vaguely Germanic foreign tongue were merely a ancient form of Gaelic as spoken in the section of Ireland known as County Kohn. Of course, Kerry might not be the stupidest politician out there. That prize has to go to his 2004 running mate who made a sex tape with his mistress and somehow thought it would remain permanently unknown to the public. A piece of advice. Sex tapes of famous people NEVER remain hidden from view. Anyway, the DUmmies seem to mostly agree with Kerry about the supposed stupidity of American voters as you can see in this THREAD, "Kerry blames out-of-touch voters for Democrats' midterm image troubles." So let us now watch the stupid DUmmies analyze Kerry's stupid opinion about why the voters are rejecting the Democrats in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, aka The Coupon Whisperer, is in the [brackets]:
Kerry blames out-of-touch voters for Democrats' midterm image troubles
[I still have the image of Kerry wearing that Bunny Wabbit outfit in 2004.]
Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) this week said an uninformed public is largely to blame for the Democrats' problems heading into November's midterms, the Boston Herald reports. We have an electorate that doesnt always pay that much attention to whats going on so people are influenced by a simple slogan rather than the facts or the truth or whats happening, Kerry said Friday in Boston, according to the Herald. "A lot of the anger today while its appropriate because Washington is broken is not directed at the right people."
[The problem for Kerry and the Democrats is that the electorate is paying TOO MUCH attention to the foibles of the Democrats. Now on to the DUmmie Peanut Gallery...]
They should be angry...at the Republicans.
[Yes, it's the Republicans fault for serving up the crap sandwich known as ObamaCare.]
Kerry knows all about "out of touch"! And how to f*ck off an election!
[Bev Harris is just $10 away from making that election right.]
He is an everyday working mans senator
[Who happens to live in his wife's mansion in Nantucket and sails around on a tax avoidance yacht.]
The fact is that Obama helped the economy turn
[...sour.]
you talk of things that are not even legally in effect yet, try waiting to see if all the pretty words really come true. & since you mentioned Kerry: what happened on 2004 when he continually claimed he had "Lawyers lined up to challenge any voting irregularities"?
[That was mostly WILLIAM RIVERS PITT making those claims about papers being filed in obscure Ohio courthouses. Those election results will be overturned in just 24 business hours.]
I don't see where he has done anything even remotely approaching "exceptional." His performance has been poor to mediocre, at best.
[EEEEK! How dare you question the abilities of the Mighty Ozbama? Your tombstoning will go into effect...NOW!]
blame the voters. thats a sure way to win.
[And don't forget to blame Bush!]
Kerry is about the 6th most liberal person in the Senate
[Lenin, Stalin, and Mao must be among the other five.]
The media is assisting the Republicans in distorting the message
[In what alternate universe is Katy Couric and Brian Williams helping the Republicans?]
Why is it not clear to the Democratic leaders by now that they need to persuade some of the ubber-rich liberals to buyout and own some news media in order to counter the rethugs and Faux News as well as other so-called conservative media - beats my imagination.
[I think they already own leftwing media called NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, NPR, etc.]
We do need to be able to counter the RW BS as soon as it is being spun. They have a neatly thread network that gets out their twisted messages in no time at all. And, it becomes the first thing many news outlets and even ordinary people see, hear about and read.
[ONE network only is not lockstep liberal and that has the DUmmies in a panic mode.]
they stuffed the electronic ballot boxes, THAT is why we got 8 nightmare years, plus a GOP gov in Georgia, only Republicans allowed to be in the same room while recounting votes, etc.
[Getting that excuse line up to explain away this November's election results?]
Kerry - you and your buddies let out a huge fart. Don't blame it on the dog. For God's sake, take some responsibility for your own stink.
[Note to Obama and Democrats: Take responsibility for your own stink.]
No Shit.. Kerry is a Jackass for this remark.
[Your Kewpie Doll will arrive right after your tombstoning ceremony.]
Kerry hardly gets what he says right.. Just look at 2004 and his boners during the campaign
[So that explains why Kerry had to loudly order an EXTRA LARGE jockstrap in front of reporters. Got that? EXTRA LARGE!]
I've ever since been convinced that he purposefully threw the election with that whole Swift Boat think and his spineless response.. Kerry is an owned man, just like the rest of the Blue Dogs, Hillary, biden and Obama included. They are nothing more than sock puppets like Bush*
[How about a Temporary Sock Puppet like a certain patron of Bukowski's?]
I was in Publix and had picked up several bottles of 40 count Advil Liqui-Gels. All lines were very long EXCEPT for the 10 item or less line which, unfortunately, had the type of cashier described above. I knew problems would ensue but I also didn't want to wait 20 minutes on line soooo... I get to the elderly cashier with the angry mouth.
I hand her a couple of Advils. Normally they are $6.75 each but they were on sale for just $4.49. I handed her a Publix coupon for $5 off two which lowered the total price to $3.98. She pulls the coupons up close to her eyeglasses as she tries to figure out what the clearly stated $5 off two means. After about a minute she very reluctantly knocks 5 bucks off the price.
And then...I hand her two Advil manufacturer's coupons which were $2 each which made the Advils...FREE! That's when she violently shook her head and declared that I couldn't use those coupons. I then explained that Publix policy allows a manufacturer's coupon to be stacked on top of a store coupon such as in this case. She still refuses so I request the store manager. It is late at night so the store manager was a really young guy yet despite his youth he knew the rules and told the cashier to ring up the coupons. Cashier grumbles and said the rules vary from store to store and I reply that the rules in each state for Publix are CONSISTENT. Then she mumbles something about I shouldn't complain since she is ringing up all the coupons so I reply that she should just go ahead and do that without the grumbling. All of a sudden she screams "AHA!" (she actually used that word) and in an incredibly triumphant voice said the coupons are only good on 50 count or more. She wasn't a good reader since in this case (which I admit is rare) the coupon actually said "50 count or SMALLER." I drew her attention to that "little" detail and she very sadly began to do the discount that she should have done without all the drama. But she wasn't done yet because she came up with an absurd final line of defense when she again triumphantly declared that the coupons didn't apply to my Advils because they were Advil Liqui-Gels. I showed her the coupon up close and pointed out that it said good on ANY Advil. She counters again by claiming that my Advils weren't included because they were Liqui-Gels. "Lady, what part of the word 'ANY' can't you figure out?" Again arguement from here so I turn to the young manager who was listening and said, "Could you please bail me OUT of this nightmare?" Manager looks at coupon and tells the cashier, "These are good. Ring him up."
So she FINALLY rang up the coupons with the in the most depressed manner imaginable. ...And now you know why I say NEVER use coupons with elderly cashiers with SMALL angry mouths. They ALWAYS cause trouble for you.
BTW, at the opposite end of the spectrum are female teenage cashiers with happy faces. They NEVER cause coupon trouble.
Oh, and as to that Advil deal. Forget it. The Publix coupon expired Friday. I did post about it at tail end of a DUFU thread on Thursday night but because ONE person griped about my coupon tips, I held off revealing it until it was almost over.
PING!
I agree that stupid voters got us to this point. Especially in 2006 and 2008.
Top 5!
Someone complained? Love your coupon tips. Your thread. Keep them coming. Money savng and humour all in one stop.
Wooohooo, couponing is back! I’ll remember the old lady w/ an angry mouth and avoid.
NOW I can go read today’s DUFU!
Top Ten! wOOt
Bet this person was elderly, with a small, angry mouth.
I for one very much appreciate your coupon tips!
Yeah. Publicly on another thread. Ironically I checked on the complainer and he only posts about once a month on the FR. But because of one complaint, I will now dial down my coupon tips. One person complains then all must suffer.
Stupid, uninformed voters gave us 0bama...
Why would she care about the coupons? She doesn’t have to pay the difference. (She’s one of those type-A persons who believes she owns the store...)
I hope that that ONE person has now been sufficiently chastised to allow you to continue your coupon seminar. I am sitting in the front row and paying attention
[The problem for Kerry and the Democrats is that the electorate is paying TOO MUCH attention to the foibles of the Democrats. Now on to the DUmmie Peanut Gallery...]
So juan, how did those hope and change & yes we can slogans work so well? Me thinks the DUmmies are the ones using simple slogans.
A lot of it is jealousy. When I come thru and pay like a couple of bucks for over $50 worth of stuff, they act like I am "getting away" with something so they think it is their job to prevent the deal in any way possible despite me pointing out exactly how the coupons are to be used. The first big objection is stacking manufacturer's on top of store coupons. Then they object when there is a BOGO sale and use coupons on the free items which is also allowed under Publix rules. I think at the bottom they are pissed that they work at Publix but are still too clueless to figure out the good deals for themselves.
And then their are the a-hole customers behind me on line. Some enjoy the fact that I get so much for so little via coupons. Others are complete a-holes like one who complained that the taxpayer is somehow paying for my discounts despite the fact that it is the COMPANIES who redeem the coupons. Yesterday, I had another encounter with an a-hole customer. She is behind me on line and then gripes when I bought a ton of stuff for almost nothing. Since she only had a couple of things to buy, she catches up with me outside and has the gall to ask for tips on saving with coupons. I told her she will get NO info from me because she griped about my deals inside. Then I bid her goodbye and told her to enjoy continuing to pay full price on everything.
It will continue to remain severely limited until the person in question delivers up a SINCERE apology.

Most Jews I know are very proud of their heritage. Wondering why Jews like Kerry and Obama try so hard to hide their Jewish heritage.
Barack Hussein is a Jewish name? Who knew?
We have an electorate that doesnt always pay that much attention to whats going on so people are influenced by a simple slogan rather than the facts or the truth or whats happening,
Yeah, like “Hope”, “Change” and “Yes We Can”
Heck, I think someone should start a coupon ping list. In this crappy economy it would be very popular.
I think you would have a huge pingee list if you did a coupon thread. Think about it. :-D
