Why would she care about the coupons? She doesn’t have to pay the difference. (She’s one of those type-A persons who believes she owns the store...)
A lot of it is jealousy. When I come thru and pay like a couple of bucks for over $50 worth of stuff, they act like I am "getting away" with something so they think it is their job to prevent the deal in any way possible despite me pointing out exactly how the coupons are to be used. The first big objection is stacking manufacturer's on top of store coupons. Then they object when there is a BOGO sale and use coupons on the free items which is also allowed under Publix rules. I think at the bottom they are pissed that they work at Publix but are still too clueless to figure out the good deals for themselves.
And then their are the a-hole customers behind me on line. Some enjoy the fact that I get so much for so little via coupons. Others are complete a-holes like one who complained that the taxpayer is somehow paying for my discounts despite the fact that it is the COMPANIES who redeem the coupons. Yesterday, I had another encounter with an a-hole customer. She is behind me on line and then gripes when I bought a ton of stuff for almost nothing. Since she only had a couple of things to buy, she catches up with me outside and has the gall to ask for tips on saving with coupons. I told her she will get NO info from me because she griped about my deals inside. Then I bid her goodbye and told her to enjoy continuing to pay full price on everything.
