I was wondering - I was born in France - may be in France they had german in the military since they love loosing wars and surrender but I was wondering if we had german in the US Army during world war 2 - did they have german in the english Army?
Just saying..
The enemy is within and even our own army does not ahve the courage to acknowledge that THE ENEMY IS WITHIN.
FREAKING POLITICAL CORRECTNESS!!! I AM SICK OF THAT.
And soo soo sad. A 21 year old PRAGNET woman, just coming back from Irak, DIED YESTERDAY BECAUSE WE LET MUSLIM - THE ENEMY - IN THE US ARMY!!!
THIS HAS TO STOP!
THE INSANITY HAS TO STOP!!! WE ARE AT WAR AND WE CARE MORE ABOUT THE ENEMY THAT FOR OUR OWN MILITARY.
THIS HAS TO STOP!!!
My grandfather was one generation removed from germany and served in europe.
We had Japanese-Americans in the army, but put them in the European theater.
Hitler’s brother was in the US Navy...in the Pacific theater, I believe.
I know what you’re saying though, and I agree.
And we had Japanese
Actually, we probably did have Germans in the US Army. Japanese too.
But we didn’t have any Nazis in the US Army.
There were a mumber of native Germans who served in the US military in WW2. The most famous was Henry Kissinger (OK, he was Jewish, but still German).
Nimitz?
Seeing that the US population in some states was almost 1/3 - 1/2 German, it’s a good bet.
Ah yes... French Surrender Monkeys.
Third Infantry Division, from North Africa to Italy, Southern France to Nuremberg.
The dirty little secret is that Americans of German descent are the largest minority population in the United States. How come nobody knows this? Because we aren't anything but Americans, first-, -last, or anything else.
I think some are missing the larger picture here. No one is advocating banning Arabs from military service, but Muslims on the other hand is a political ideology as well as a religion. They do not believe in separation of church and state.
We also had functioning taboos which progressives’ political correctness has destroyed. Without taboos which establish patriotism’s ideals which allow the soldiers to manage the traitors in their midst, we get Islamokillers like Hassan in high positions where they can do great evil because political correctness prevents calling thejihadi what he is, a soldier of the enemy serving the demon allah.
True. Eisenhower is said to have stated before he set foot on German soil after the surrender “never thought an Eisenhower would come back here after 25 years”.
If anyone read (or saw) Band of Brothers, the US Army caught a couple of Americans of German descent who fought for the SS.
Of course, we all know what Lt. Spears did to them (wink)
A lot of people of german descent in the midwest at that time. My Grandfather was born in Wisconsin and lived in Michigan when he shipped out to Europe.

The US had interment camps for the German and Japanese in the WWII. I don’t think that’s a good idea, though. Conservatives fight for color-blind policy, both positive (against affirmative action) or negative (against discrimination) versions.
ML/NJ
Another dirty secret is the fact there were also German internment camps in the USA.
