Political correctness is going to rout this country. The jihadi who mowed down scores at Fort Hood was an adviser to the Homeland Security Policy Institute's presidential transition task force. This was at the same time that the DHS was writing reports that right wing extremists like Grandma, Veterans, tea parties, patriots were the real threat. And Hasan had a jihad history.

The gunman who killed 12 people today at Ft. Hood appears, based on current media reports, to be Army psychiatrist Nidal Hasan who was listed as a participant in a Homeland Security Policy Institute's presidential transition task force last year.

The task force was not officially affiliated with the White House. It was a project of the Homeland Security Policy Institute, an independent thinktank housed at George Washington University, aimed at drafting policy recommendations for the incoming Obama administration.

According to the task force's May 2009 report [pdf], a "Nidal Hasan" from the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine was a task force event participant. Other participants included Senate and House staffers, Department of Homeland Security officials, Defense Department officials, and reporters for Politico, the Washington Post, and the London Times....

this morning b'obama "cautions", "don't jump to conclusions." he is suggesting that people wait to decide, presumably on whether this was an act of jihad, until "the facts are in" from the police investigation.

obama's "cautionary" remarks would be laughable, were they not so pathetic, so calculated to obscure what malik nadal hasan has done, so calculated to obscure the acts of islamic jihad. malik nadal hasan wore islamic garb, he gave away korans the morning of the shootings, he shouted "allah akbar" as he murdered u.s. army soldiers and u.s. citizens, and he violated the trust of his patients and the ethics of his profession.

he betrayed the united states, he betrayed his citizenship, he betrayed all that had been bestowed upon him.

he did it to advance islam. and, for no other reason.

he urged islamic terror.

what he did was an act of jihad. plain and simple.

contrast this with obama's reaction to the arrest of a black harvard professor, and his immediate condemnation of the police officers and the police force involved.

yet, he cannot get it up to condemn the actions of an avowed terrorist supporter who acted to advance conquest by islam.

by their fruits you shall know them. barack hussein obama is as much a traitor to the united states as malik nadal hasan, his fellow co-religionist. we should regard b'obama with about the same enthusiasm as we would regard waking up with a rattlesnake on our chest. indeed, that is the case, is it not.

[Daniel Kaniewski, the institute's deputy director, confirms that Hasan attended task force meetings as an audience member, and stresses that he was not a member of the task force. "All of our events are open to the public," Kaniewski says, "and when someone RSVPs we put their name in the [report] so everyone knows who was in the room." He says institute staffers recall Hasan attending at least one task force event, and that he RSVP'd for several. "We do recall him speaking at one of our events as an audience member," he says, "but none of us recall what he actually said. Generally, our events are attended by people in the homeland security community, and Hasan had a very legitimate reason to be there. He was a fellow at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences."]

Also, I gotta ask -- if the guy who shot up the Unitarian Church in Knoxville, Tenn. last year was simply a crazy person and didn't commit that crime because of his (political and religious) beliefs, why can't the same hold true for this horrible tragedy?

This is completely unacceptable-the guy was extremely vocal-for years. Why was Hasan allowed access to the HS conference?

what a pathetic excuse from the task force-Hasan's reason for being there? Jihad.

I don't know about anyone else but since the new administration took office this citizen is not feeling to secure within the homeland.

1. Open the border
2. Repeal the 2nd Amendment
3. Confiscate citizen-owned firearms and jail those who resist
4. Continue to ban racial profiling for terrorists

The guy was promoted by someone in Obama’s administration or transition team because his views matched their leftist template..America and military bad...’moderate’ muslims good.
