I read an article, downloaded it, and was going to post it when my power went out so lost it. It was an interview with Dunham’s best friend while she was in high school.
She said that all through high school Dunham never dated, never had a boyfriend. She planned on going to college in WA with her high school friends, but her father forced her to go with them to Hawaii since she had not turned 18 yet.
She also said the area where Dunham lived was white, all her friends were white, and she was not above a little racism during that time.
In that era, dating someone black would have been severely frowned upon.
She said she never pictured Dunham as the “fall in love and get married” type, let alone a mommy type, so she was shocked when she suddenly heard from Dunham that she had “fallen” in love with an African student, and even more shocked that she had a child.

The company’s services were extended southwards down the coasts of East Africa to Portuguese East Africa, there only to meet the opposition of what is now the Union-Castle line.
From Zanzibar, the first base, the ships visited the Seychelles, Mauritius and Reunion. A regular service took to running from Zanzibar by way of the Comoro Islands to Madagascar. Another swept right round the Indian Ocean from Bombay to Aden. Aden to Zanzibar, and so southwards to Mozambique and Delagoa Bay
It was of more importance now that the British Government came to its senses after his death and took the East African problems in hand. The railway from Mombasa right up to Nairobi was duly completed

However I was talking about CASE law, at the federal district, federal appeals or Supreme Court level not about legislative solutions. There is no definition of Natural Born Citizen in US Supreme Court decisions.

It has as much to do with it as did the 14th Amendment, jamese777, which is to say nothing. But, it does, however, state quite clearly why there are no laws pertaining to natural born citizens made by Congress, and that is that the Constitution alone makes the distinction, because the enumerated power of the national legislature is to prescribe a uniform law of naturalization. Naturalization has nothing to do with natural born. You can scroll up to my reply to this very thread, at #8377, or, oh, what the heck, I'll post it again:
A naturalized citizen is indeed made a citizen under an act of Congress, but the act does not proceed to give, to regulate, or to prescribe his capacities. He becomes a member of the society, possessing all the rights of a native citizen, and standing, in the view of the Constitution, on the footing of a native. The Constitution does not authorize Congress to enlarge or abridge those rights.
