This is a ‘Certified Copy’ of the ‘Original’ birth certificate issued in 1961. (says so right on it)
1964 is when his soon to be ex filed for a divorce and more than likely he needed a ‘copy’ of the ‘original’ to take to court to prove parentage and possibly a custody battle.
One is the “Registrar” and the other is the “District Registrar” ?? Two different positions?

As another poster has said, check the number certificate 47 044, Barack Obama is 47 and is 44th POTUS. Coincidence? These cll this document into question at the very least.

Actually, in Africa, most (if not all) of the former British colonies became republics and used that word in their offical names. That includes the Republic of Botswana, the Republic of the Gambia, the Republic of Mauritius, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Republic of Seychelles, the Republic of South Africa, the Republic of the Sudan, the United Republic of Tanzania, the Republic of Zambia, and the Republic of Zimbabwe.
I understand all that, but if this turned out to be “real” and the numbering is truly coincidental...it should make some immmediate believers out of any resident atheists.

IIRC not uncommon to use the place of birth as it does not vary. Place of residence does. It’s a Genealogy thing.

I still think that 47044 is quite a “coincidence.” Although, stranger real coincidences have happened, I suppose.
I’m almost thinking that IF this is a hoax, then the creator of it deliberately placed clues such as this to find.

Well that’s good news, since you can’t make a certified copy, unless you have an original. The real issue is where did the person get it? From where the father used it, or from vital records in Kenya? It was my understanding that the PM Raila Odinga (claims to be O’s cousin) sealed those records, when zero won election?
My guess is if it did not come from proper office, then they will claim it’s tampered with and not his, yada yada..you know how they are.
