White House adviser Karl Rove is scheduled to speak tomorrow at the annual conference of the federally funded, left-wing, open-borders-advocacy group, the National Council of La Raza.
If he does not want his speech to look like an act of appeasement, he should confront La Raza on its opposition to commonsense policies designed to secure both U.S. borders and U.S. pocketbooks.
La Raza, which means The Race in Spanish, has denounced as horrendous and appalling the House immigration bill passed in December, which was sponsored by Judiciary Chairman James Sensenbrenner (R.-Wis.) and supported by the overwhelming majority of House Republicans. The bill, which calls for tough worksite enforcement of immigration laws and 700 miles of border fencing, was condemned by La Raza as a laundry list of mean-spirited and intrusive provisions concocted by the most radical immigrations restrictionists in Congress.
Will Rove defend the immigration reforms passed by President Bushs party in the House and tell La Raza that House Republicans are neither mean-spirited nor radical? He should. House Republicans deserve Roves support.

Not a chance. The numbers of voting Republicans who feel as passionately as some on this forum do about immigration is less than 20%.
LOL!! Just don't make yourself black and blue!! I judge each post by itself...when I believe you are right, friend, I will be shoulder to shoulder with you.
"He's gonna kiss their butts."
Merely appearing at the conference (or whatever it is) constitutes butt kissing, imho. Next week he should address the Workers of the World Party, and after that have a tea party with Mother Sheehan. He'll get just as moany votes with them as he will from La Raza.
I'm sure the Laraza group shares the same sentiments with you...
That puts you in the Eastern Time Zone...I'd have bet money you were in the Southern Time Zone...
Life just got easier and cheaper for millions of US residents. Freddie Mac, the second largest owner of mortgages in the US, just announced that it has expanded its loan-to-value ratios for many of its loan programs offered through approved lenders.
Now, all resident aliens are eligible for the same high loan-to-value ratio loans as US citizens and permanent resident aliens.
Previously, resident aliens were generally limited to a maximum of 75% loan-to-value prior to establishing a two- year US residency and work history.
It should be noted that lenders must still develop and verify that the applicants have an acceptable credit history and credit reputation such that the applicants meet the normal eligibility requirements for Freddie Mac.

Yep, he's going to pucker up real well and get kicked in the teeth for it.
Does LaRaza have a Grand Imperial Wizard?
Do they wear hoods and sheets?
Big mistake legitimizing racist groups.

It seems that the public is so dumbed down they do not care what happens to our national identity and sovereignty. Voters no longer care if the U.S. is merged with Canada and Mexico? Open borders, free trade, export jobs elsewhere, outsource everything.
The whole world is changing right before our eyes. Nobody seems to give a rip.
General membership shall consist of any student who accepts, believes and works for the goals and objectives of MEChA, including the liberation of AZTLAN, meaning self-determination of our people in this occupied state and the physical liberation of our land.

Exclusive: The Truth About 'La Raza'
by Rep. Charlie Norwood
Posted Apr 07, 2006
(snip)
MEChA and the La Raza movement teach that Colorado, California, Arizona, Texas, Utah, New Mexico, Oregon and parts of Washington State make up an area known as "Aztlan" -- a fictional ancestral homeland of the Aztecs before Europeans arrived in North America. As such, it belongs to the followers of MEChA. These are all areas America should surrender to "La Raza" once enough immigrants, legal or illegal, enter to claim a majority, as in Los Angeles. The current borders of the United States will simply be extinguished.
This plan is what is referred to as the "Reconquista" or reconquest, of the Western U.S.
But it won't end with territorial occupation and secession. The final plan for the La Raza movement includes the ethnic cleansing of Americans of European, African, and Asian descent out of "Aztlan."
As Miguel Perez of Cal State-Northridge's MEChA chapter has been quoted as saying: "The ultimate ideology is the liberation of Aztlan. Communism would be closest [to it]. Once Aztlan is established, ethnic cleansing would commence: Non-Chicanos would have to be expelled -- opposition groups would be quashed because you have to keep power."
Central Time Zone. And that's where I am.
It's pretty dumb to suggest that Rove ought to be shot. That breaks a cardinal rule of this forum, advocating violence.
You really ought to know better.

But the National Council of La Raza succeeded in raking in over $15.2 million in federal grants last year alone, of which $7.9 million was in U.S. Department of Education grants for Charter Schools, and undisclosed amounts were for get-out-the-vote efforts supporting La Raza political positions.
The Council of La Raza succeeded in having itself added to congressional hearings by Republican House and Senate leaders. And an anonymous senator even gave the Council of La Raza an extra $4 million in earmarked taxpayer money, supposedly for "housing reform," while La Raza continues to lobby the Senate for virtual open borders and amnesty for illegal aliens.
Which no one did.
ROFL! (It's better to laugh than cry.)
Or, if it's OK, why don't you post his exact words, and endorse them?
