What Karl Rove Should Tell La Raza

White House adviser Karl Rove is scheduled to speak tomorrow at the annual conference of the federally funded, left-wing, open-borders-advocacy group, the National Council of La Raza.

If he does not want his speech to look like an act of appeasement, he should confront La Raza on its opposition to commonsense policies designed to secure both U.S. borders and U.S. pocketbooks.

La Raza, which means “The Race” in Spanish, has denounced as “horrendous” and “appalling” the House immigration bill passed in December, which was sponsored by Judiciary Chairman James Sensenbrenner (R.-Wis.) and supported by the overwhelming majority of House Republicans. The bill, which calls for tough worksite enforcement of immigration laws and 700 miles of border fencing, was condemned by La Raza as a “laundry list of mean-spirited and intrusive provisions concocted by the most radical immigrations restrictionists in Congress.”

Will Rove defend the immigration reforms passed by President Bush’s party in the House and tell La Raza that House Republicans are neither “mean-spirited” nor “radical”? He should. House Republicans deserve Rove’s support.

How can that be when Reagan gave OVERNIGHT no questions ask amnesty to 3 million illegal aliens and didn't even attempt to enforce the laws he ask for and got as part of that amnesty?

To answer the question, Rove & RINOld should not even have showed up for La Raza! Just their presence gives credibility to La Raza.

It was at this same meeting, grandly called the North American summit, that President Bush pinned the epithet "vigilantes" on the volunteers guarding our border in Arizona.

That was in reference to the Minutemen. The Minutemen is a fantastic organization that Federal government refuses to do. Read this post.

The one guy suggests that the people who founded this nation with the idea of freedom of speech as a basic building block, would have had Karl Rowe deported or shot for exercising his right to that freedom, and you defend the same guy by calling on the very same concept that he claims would have gotten Karl Rowe deported or shot.

I am referring to the radical and rapid shift in the quality of life for those of us who are being most directly impacted by the failure of the Federal Government to enforce and uphold the Constitutional Sovereignty of the USA. I was born and raised in Southern California, USA. Much of Southern Cal now resembles Mexico (the bad parts), and I don't recall which Constitutional Amendment repealed our southern border. Trust me--when you have to deal with these kinds of things on a daily basis (and you will), it will matter to you.

That's BS that was referring to the Homeland Civil defense group that Simcox was involved with and since he had declared unilateral war on Mexico it was an apt description. The only public face of the Minutemen at that time was Simcox and there was damn good reason to question anything that nutcase was involved with.
